The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce will stage its 29th Annual Halloween Parade on Sunday October 31st, gathering at noon and kicking off at 1:30pm, rain or shine. This year, it's not going to be the same old, same old Halloween Parade (although it's always been great). We're hoping to put a bit more BOO into this year's parade by setting up booths with fun activities for our trick- or- treaters. Here's the line up of fun so far:
- Best Dressed Family Contest sponsored and judged by Venture Photography. Prize is a standard shoot and design consultation with an $800 product (total value would be $1150) from Venture Photography
- Balloons and a craft from Toddlertime Nursery School and Green Moon Art
- Music by James Daniel Entertainment
- Old Faithful Fire Engine
- Face painting from Pura Vida
- Treats from Yumnuts Naturals
- Photos by Susan Morrow Photography
- Fun booths from Patch, DailyNewCanaan and Serendipity
- Booth by pediatric dentist Anna Simonis (opening January 2011)
- Visit the Filling Station Co. in costume and be entered to win a $50 gift certificate
- Goodie bags (while supplies last) provided by Bank of America, Citibank, First County Bank, Dr. Mark DeWaele, Dunkin Donuts, Mobil, New Canaan Toy Store, People's United Bank, TD Bank, Walter Stewart's Market, Joe Vittoria (President and CEO of PEZ candies), Webster Bank, Lang's Pharmacy, Avgerinos Contractors, The Bank of New Canaan and the Toy Chest. Goodie bags stuffed and distributed by the National Charity League.
