Brahms' First Symphony, often called Beethoven's "tenth," took Brahms fourteen years to compose and its dramatic nature, full of turmoil, is a direct response to his study of Beethoven's Fifth and Ninth Symphonies. We welcome the brilliant young violinist Elissa Lee Koljonen performing Bruch's highly romantic Violin Concerto - an audience favorite since the day it was first composed! Tickets: $35-$45. With every full priced individual ticket purchased NHSO−New Canaan will donate $10 to the New Canaan Nature Center.
