Tax Free Week August 15-21
 
Starting Sunday, August 15th, shoppers can take advantage of the state's 10th annual tax free week.  Shoppers can save the state's 6% sales tax on clothing and footwear costing less than $300 per item (items under $50 are always tax exempt).  Couple that with your iblast card and there's some great savings to be had in New Canaan this week. I checked in with a few local merchants and they said their fall lines are in. School starts in two weeks so head on out and stock up or just go shopping for yourself! It's not often that I thank the tax man...

This is an opportunity to high-school age residents to experience a grant making process and fund programs that address community needs, explore philanthropy, leadership and community responsibility.
