Join the "slow down in our town" movement and commit to driving more slowly through our town and neighborhoods. Put down the cell phone while driving. Keep our parks clean. Carry out what you carry in. Stop for pedestrians in the cross walks. Say hello to people you pass. Take a deep breath before you honk.
If we keep our town neat and friendly, we'll attract more visitors who will spend money in our town and we'll be better for it too!

As part of the New Canaan Public School 2010 Celebration of the Arts, the New Canaan Public Schools Visual and Performing Arts Department will be hosting "Beethoven and Beyond," a performance by the New Haven Symphony on Saturday, April 24, at 7:00 p.m. Join the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) and Music Director William Boughton for Beethoven & Beyond featuring two of Beethoven's most recognized works Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68 "Pastoral" and Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67. This performance will also include NHSO Music Alive Composer-in-Residence Jin Hi Kim's 2007 NHSO Commission Monk Dance, featuring Kim as Korean Percussion soloist.
