Have you heard about the new kid in town?

We have a new neighborhood in town. In an effort to raise awareness about the shops on Cherry Street from East Ave to Main, the merchants have joined together to form "Cherry Street East Village". They have been advertising together, they organized an open house to welcome shoppers and now they have their own blog! I find it inspiring and refreshing. Don't just sit back and take what's handed to you; go out and make it happen! 10 out of the 13 merchants are Ib.l.a.s.t. participants so head on over and check out their deals! P.S. let the three who haven't joined Ib.l.a.s.t. yet know you heard about them from us!

Mini Golfing in the Stacks

New Canaan Library

February 26th from 5-9pm

For one night only the New Canaan Library will be transformed into an amazing indoor mini-golf course complete with 18 holes over two floors. Come putt between the stacks and help support this unique and fun fundraising event. Plus, Mead Park's beloved Apple Cart Vendor will offer $5 hot dog meals and $10 gourmet sandwich boxes on the 19th green to make this special Friday night complete. Golf tickets are $5/child and $10/adult - buy early to reserve the best tee time for your family. Tickets for golf and meals can be purchased at the Children's Desk in the library or online. Young Women's League

Fashion Show at Waveny House

February 24th at 7pm

The YWL proudly presents its annual fashion show. Admission is free to all members and their guests. Anyone interested in joining the YWL should email the New Member Chair. The local retailers will be showcasing their clothes and Benefit Cosmetics will be doing the makeup for the models. Come sample an array of gourmet appetizers provided by locals such as Fabulous Feasts. Kit's Closet and Potpourri Designs, along with other local retailers, will have selected items for sale before and after the show. All proceeds will go toward the Young Women's League of New Canaan's Charitable Giving Fund.

College Information Night

The college admissions process can be a daunting but exciting time for you and your family. To help address these issues, the Outback Teen Center is hosting a free college information night, sponsored by Chyten Educational Services. Chyten's college counselor will be there to answer your questions and provide insights into the process. Please contact Chyten at 972-3600 for further details and to sign up for this free session.
