Be the Gift provides assistance for Single Moms and Widows in need of home repair.

Our goal for her family is to improve their

 "Quality of Life".

May 2011

In honor of Mothers Day this month, we partnered with WayFM radio station and together sponsored SINGLE MOM WORK DAY on Saturday May 14th. We received over 40 nominations for home repair assistance from loving family and friends who care about the Single Mom's in their lives, neighborhood and community.

 Here are their stories.

SARAH  in Ft. Collins, CO

Sarah recently moved back to Colorado and purchased a home for her and her two sons following a tragic family situation.  We were able to put two teams together to paint, repair walls, general maintenance as well as help restore her yard so the children could play. She wrote " I would like to thank everyone who came out on Friday and Saturday. Helping us made our new house a home is such a wonderful blessing God has shown us through each and every one of you."
NANCY in Centennial, CO

Nancy is a Single Mom with two daughters. Her daughter Aspen nominated her and wrote "my mom has been fighting cancer and has been a single mother to me my whole life. I am 13 and no help to her.  We have a lot of bills, our house needs a lot of work-- my mom has been so sick. We sent a  team of skilled carpenters and handymen to help Nancy.  She wrote "I can't possibly thank you and all of your amazing volunteers enough for all that they accomplished at my home on Saturday! You truly are a gift and I feel so blessed that you all came out to help me, you took so many years of worry and stress off my shoulders with all the work done for me and I am so very grateful to have had this opportunity, thank you so much for all that you have done for me and my family-you all are an absolute blessing and an inspiration!

                ALL BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE

May was an especially great month for BTG because we met and worked with so many new organizations, businesses and volunteers. Special thanks to WayFM, Loveland Applebees Restaurant and D & I Trim for your donations to these projects. Everyone plays a part and none of this would be possible without our incredible team of project managers and volunteers.

Our mission is to raise the value and spirit of life by connecting those who need assistance with those who want to help.

Sarah Group We would love to have you join us, and of course there is always  need for new building supplies as well as finances.

CHRIS in Broomfield

Crowe family1a
Chris is a Home Host Mom for children with disabilities as well as caring for and loving  adopted children of her own.She was in desperate need of flooring in her main room as her family was living on just the bare base wood. Our team installed a new floor for her.

She wrote " Thank You, can not even begin to express how I feel about receiving my kitchen a new floor.I found it extremely difficult to be the person being served when I am always the servant. I felt that your staff and volunteers were very sensitive and understanding about my feelings

When the floor was complete, a few of the kids took off their shoes and slid across the floor shouting "Look Mom, no splinters!"   I am sure Ricky, my handicapped child who crawls, will appreciate no splinters in his bottom too!

I feel so honored to have received this gift. Serving such a large family alone is very exhausting and many things get lost in the shuffle and pushed to the wayside.

Thank you so much for serving single mothers.
