Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father

our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows

in their troubles and refuse to let the world corrupt us.

Will you pull the trigger?

Do you ever wonder how we as people choose the right time to help someone.  What are the deciding factors for people when choosing to bless another life?   What will it take for each of us to "pull the trigger" in living a life of significance for others.  Is it a time factor?  If we just have enough time in life, then I know I would give some time to someone.  Is it a financial factor?  If we just have enough resources, then I know I would give to someone.  Is it a direction factor?  If we just knew for sure that we are on the right path and direction in life, then I know we would show up for someone.  Actually, these are all legitimate questions to ask, but there is one very important question that Jesus poses.

In John 21, Jesus visits Peter who after some traumatic events in his life, choose to go fishing.  Peter was disappointed in some of his decisions, in some of his actions and that he betrayed his best friend.  He retreated and went back to a life he knew and was comfortable with.  One morning Jesus showed up and fixed breakfast for Peter, then called on him to feed His sheep and lambs of the world.  You see, Jesus didn't ask about Peter's financial state, if he had any spare time or any other circumstance of life.  The question Jesus simply asked was this, "Peter, do you love me"?  Why?  Because answering that question distinguishes Peter from having a heart that will follow after Him or having a heart that will follow else where.  It's the deciding factor in Peter's life if this is the right time to help someone.  Here is the kicker, Jesus is still asking that question today and depending on how we answer it will also determine where our heart and life is headed.  It's the deciding factor of a Christian life, do you love Him?  Then help His lambs and sheep of the world!

Della with our team of volunteers

Della is a delightful Single Mom

with 2 daughters. We were able to

assist her with her home repair

needs last month.  She sent us

  this note.

" Dear Chris and Marilyn, Thank

you SO MUCH for your vision of

Be the Gift. I now stand with those

who have been blessed. My crew

  was funny, real professional and

most of all godly. I  have new beautiful flooring in my kitchen and bathrooms along with a host of other fix ups that I couldn't do myself. Be encouraged that you are doing the good that God has called you to! Sincerely in Christ, Della, Shayla and Nina"

GARY- PROJECT MANAGER

This project was very rewarding for our BTG team as well as the Single Mom.  We converted an unused sun porch into a room that she can use

for a home business.  This renovation will enable her to be more self sufficient and work out of her house.  We teamed up with a church in Ft Collins who also provided several hard working volunteers and donated their time. After several visits to her home---her project is complete giving her an opportunity to earn income for her and her family.

Chris in the "Storehouse"

WANTED...NEW BUILDING SUPPLIES

In our new BTG Headquarters, half of the facility is designated for storage of materials.  We call it our Storehouse. We believe that new building materials will be donated to lower the cost of the Home Repair Projects for the Single Moms and Widows.

In return, it gives us the opportunity to do many more much needed projects as it helps our finances.

So pray and believe with us that businesses and individuals will help us  fill our shelves.

 We have openings  for

 volunteers both skilled

 in home repair as well

as those who have a big

 heart and helping

 hands. There  is always

 something each of us

 can do. Also, if you

 know of a single mom

 who needs assistance

 contact us. Email

  chris@bethegift.net

 or give us a call

  970-581-8255.

A special thank you for all of you in Loveland and those who traveled to attend our BTG Headquarters Open House. It was wonderful to see our long time friends, meet new ones and share the Be the Gift

vision, goals and stories.

If we missed you, feel free to stop by some time and we will show you around.
Love and God Bless,

Chris and Marilyn
