Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God

our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows

in their troubles and refuse to let the word corrupt us.

                  BE THE GIFT HEADQUARTERS

Well we did it!  Be the Gift is growing as is our need for a facility. Finding a building that would offer an office, meeting and gathering space and a warehouse to collect and store building materials for our projects was no easy feat. BUT-- God is faithful and here we are. We are located in downtown Loveland and will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on  SUNDAY MARCH 6th from 2-6 pm. More details to follow.

Are we Fisher of Men or Keepers of the Aquarium?

There is momentum growing in the Christian community.  This momentum is the Church starting to understand and act on the heart of our Father.  The heart of the Father is for believers to reach out to those in need whether it be financial, emotional, spiritual or by serving getting out there and working side by side to help someone.   In Proverbs 19:17, it says "Those who help the poor, lend to God and He will repay you. In Jeremiah the Lord declares, "If you defend the cause of the poor and needy, all will go well. Is this not what it means to know me?"  This momentum is all of us who are the church starting to put our  faith, love, skills and talents to use in the community around us as an act of worship.  Paul Harvey said,

"We've drifted away from being fishers of men to

being keepers of the aquarium."

It's not only the heart of the Father but our responsibility.  Please read Mathew 25: 31-46. It states that at the end of history when the people are gathered before Christ they will be divided into two groups; the sheep and the goats.  What's surprising is that the condition for dividing the two groups is not that the sheep confessed their faith in Christ while the goats did not.  But rather the sheep had acted in a tangible and loving way toward the poor, the sick, those in prison and the vulnerable, while the goats did nothing. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, "Action springs not from thought, but from a readiness for responsibility".

Let's quit just going to church and let's be the church by

making a difference through a substantial and touchable means

of God's love to our neighborhoods and cities around us.

The Mission and approach of Be the Gift to act in a tangible and loving manner is TO CHANGE THE VALUE AND SPIRIT OF

LIFE BY CONNECTING THOSE WHO NEED ASSISTANCE

WITH THOSE WHO DESIRE TO HELP.  If you want to jump out

of the aquarium to help Be the Gift on a home repair project for a Single Mom and her children, we would be honored to have you join us. Or if you would like Be the Gift to come to your neighborhood to stir momentum and help launch God's design into action, we will come and make that happen.  Give us a call or email us and

let's get started.

Have a great February and talk to you next month
