THE MOST DANGEROUS PRAYER- USE ME!!

If you asked yourself the question do I want to make a difference in this world and in someone's life, most of us would say yes. Yet we can go from week to week, year after year and even from church service to church service and not see the difference we intend to make.

Why? Because most people don't lead their lives, they accept their lives.

I believe we can live a life that is intentional, doing something on purpose for a purpose. There isn't anything too small when it is done with an intentional giving heart.

That is why the most dangerous prayer is - here I am Lord USE ME!

Why is it dangerous? Because if we are sincere in our prayer, we will get a chance to be used. Jesus said you'll find your life only as you give it away. In our hearts we know that God has a plan for us and wants us to be "His Agent" of change in the world around us. Once we realize that, all of a sudden the motivation to do the right thing rises up from within us.

Our purpose as a person of influence is to speak up for those who are struggling. There is no greater cause as a Christian than to love those around us that feel they have been abandoned, left behind or feel unloved. The greatest way to show this Christ like and sacrificial love is by giving aid and comfort to those needing to be rescued; to share the Good News that God loves them in a tangible way. This is the heart beat of Be the Gift to single moms and widows. It is within each of us to make that difference to single moms and widows by giving, loving and providing a life for them that Christ would want them to have.

It's about a life that we can see, taste and touch--

something that we can involve ourselves in every day.

So... are we ready to pray that dangerous prayer USE ME?

Home Repair Project

Melissa and her children

Melissa is such a hard worker. Works for the school district, cleans her church and in her spare time sits on the school board. Oh yea, plus a single mother of three. It was an honor and a miracle to stain her house in one day. After the project was completed, Melissa made the comment that she felt a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. The miracle and results of blessing someone.

Grandby-bikes

Chuck, Rick, Scott

and Howard

It was a sunny fall day and these bikers combined a ride over over Rocky Mountain National Park and and blessing Melissa in Granby, Colorado. Sounded like thunder in the Rockies when they pulled up to her house, but to Melissa it was the sound of a miracle that was about to take place. All were happy, the boys got to ride and Melissa got her house renewed with stain.

Bob and Kendra

Here is a father - daughter team that jumped on the band wagon of helping Be the Gift. Together they stained her deck and the walls around the deck as well. Bob said he had a great day with Kendra where they had the chance to spend some quality together, plus help out another family and have a day full of laughter.

Ryan and Eric

These two were the brains of the operation. Eric is a professional painter who donated his time to manage this project. Ryan who owns his own carpentry business teamed up with Eric to stain parts of her house where I think only eagles fly. Without these two & their leadership, hard work and expertise...it doesn't happen. Thanks Guys!
