Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God
our Father means that we must care for
orphans and widows in their troubles and
refuse to let the world corrupt us.

          THE CAUSE IS GREATER
       THAN THE CIRCUMSTANCES
We have three groups of people to thank. First of all, our Incredible Athletes that ran the race. They started in Ft. Collins at 7:30 am on Friday August 6th and finished the race in 30hrs:39min:11sec around 2:09 pm on Saturday afternoon August 7th in Steamboat Springs. This group trained for months and months leading up to race day and of course training in Colorado can holds it's own set of challenges.  Then RACE DAY - They embarked on that 200 mile challenge as they ran through rain, hail, wind, hot sun, paved and dirt roads. They continued nonstop and unrelenting through the middle of the night and across a mountain pass all for the "Cause" which is to raise money for single mom home repairs. The "Circumstances" they encountered at times were extreme, yet with a goal in mind, and a greater purpose than themselves, they overcame and conquered any and all obstacles set in their path. We can learn from these runners that even in the midst of sometimes emotional and physical strain, when we've chosen a course in our lives, and God is in it; we will succeed. So we ask ourselves,

What is going to win out, "our Cause or our Circumstances"?

The second group of people we would like to thank are our Business and Individual Sponsors. Their financial contribution is the reason we now have a special Fund to use for the sole purpose of purchasing materials and supplies to assist the many Single Moms who have so patiently been waiting for their opportunity for Be the Gift and our staff to come and assist them with their home repair needs. Some have water leaking into their home, non functioning bathrooms, and the list goes on and on.  We know most of those that sponsored the race and are aware of the many "Circumstances", situations and financial sacrifice they made to provide a $200.00 Sponsorship. Again their "Cause" is to make a way for Be the Gift to multiply their dollars given into a transformation and great improvement for a struggling Single Mom in the area

SPECIAL thanks and appreciation also for the 14 Volunteers that helped us run the relay exchanges for up to 8 hours at a time.... also in the middle of the night in the cold mountain air with some wind and rain. Crazy "Circumstances" that may be labeled a bit wild and extreme to work within, yet we know our time and effort is so rewarding when those that need help are served. Our BTG Volunteers are so amazing. Jump in with us to provide a way for a greater good and purpose...help the" Cause" and watch what Great things God will do in our lives and others. Keep in touch.
