                                                     MAY 2009

THIS MOTHERS DAY-- WE WANT TO HONOR OUR SINGLE MOMS & WIDOWS.

It's nice to say hello to spring and all the new growth.  I pray your month of May is
supernatural and you are experiencing all that God has for you.  Each month I have
the privilege and opportunity to share a few words with you. I have just one little phrase to
   share with you this month;

                                                " Do  It  Anyway"

Our website www.bethegift.net features a song on the home page that is sung by Kristy
Lee Cook called "ANYWAY".  The song is about dreaming, building, and loving with the
right motive and plans, yet in the blink of an eye it may come crashing down,
   but Do it Anyway!

Our Christian history and heritage is built on people who believed and dreamed, and then
they built and loved.  Many times is didn't turn out like they thought it should, but they did it
anyway.  Joseph had a dream and we all know his life took some strange twist and turns in
reaching his dreams.  In the midst of his journey life wasn't always good, God's message to
   Joseph --Dream it Anyway!

Job was one of the three most righteous men who ever lived and loved God with all that was
within him.  His journey brought him to a place of losing his family, estate and robbed him of
his wealth without cause.  God's message to Job--Love Anyway!

Simon Peter was asked if he would be one of the disciples who would leave Jesus.  His
response, "Lord to whom shall we go?  You have the words of eternal life.  We believe and
know that you are the Holy One of God" (John 6:59-68).  So when Peter thought he lost
everything on that Friday afternoon at Golgotha, God's message to Peter-Believe it Anyway!

Noah was asked to build an ark and was given specific instructions on what it was to look
like and what it was supposed to house.  In the midst of the ridicule and even though Noah
had never seen rain, God's message to Noah--Build it Anyway!

Most of us can relate one of these stories from the Bible to our life today.
God wants us to Dream and Believe, then to Love and Build.
And even though life isn't always good, remember
God is Great, so do it Anyway

Happy Mothers Day to our friends

The people behind the scenes of Be the Gift have the biggest hearts for people. Because of them, I do not have to worry about a leaking roof any longer!  The security of knowing that there is help if I need it makes me feel safer as a single mom and gives me an incredible sense of peace.  Big thanks to all of you
God BLess
Becky
I am so grateful for all of you donating your time, finances and manpower to give us new windows.  It's really amazing to see and feel the transformation in our home.  I have been a single mom for the past 18 years and for thirteen of those years, I took in foster children and whatever needed to be done... it was up to me.
Being on the receiving end of the whole experience has been wonderful.  It is rare to meet people who are sincere and genuine, who truly want to know if I am okay and how they can help.

With heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.
Kathy

One evening nine or ten men and one woman
One evening nine or ten men and one woman arrived at my house and when they left my dingey- soiled walls were clean and beautiful.  I still sit in my chair and feel the warmth of their
serving hearts.

Thank You!
Jean

We have received some tools as a response from our last newsletter.  We still need a compressor and hose, nail gun, saw horses, ladders, routers, sanders, all varieties of saws, paint sprayer and chordless drill.
If you have something you would like to donate, please give us a call or e-mail us.
