HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME TO THE APRIL EDITION OF OUR BE THE GIFT NEWSLETTER. IT IS SO GOOD TO HAVE EACH OF YOU ON BOARD AND PRAYING FOR US.
We are encouraged by your kind words, service in the community and the addition of our new volunteers into the Ministry. We all want to be an element of the true purpose we were placed on this earth, especially during these times.
We also know that to acquire God's blessing is to get with God's agenda, and then comes the big question, what is God's agenda especially when it comes to my life? Hopefully I can help you out just a little bit. Gods' agenda is His people, I heard it put this way once,
God's agenda is God's people fulfilling God's
purposes on God's planet for God's glory.
You may be saying, oh Chris, that sounds great but where do I start and how do I even begin to fulfill God's agenda? Let me answer that with how God responded to me... right now, right where you are and with what you have right now
Throughout history God has utilized people who are willing to say yes with what they have in their hand. God asked Moses to be part of HIS agenda, but Moses asked in Exodus 4, "What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, the Lord did not appear to you?" Then the Lord said to Moses,
"What is that in your hand?" "A staff," Moses replied. Moses was a shepherd and what was a staff to a shepherd? It was Moses' identity, it also was his income and wealth, plus it represented Moses' influence. When Moses was willing to surrender it and lay it down before the Lord, wow, what followed were amazing miracles and made for a great movie.
In all four Gospels of Jesus there is a story where Jesus has compassion for the people listening to Him. It was getting late and His disciples wanted Jesus to send the people away to find something to eat in a neighboring town. But Jesus looked at His disciples and said, "YOU give them something to eat". Jesus used what they had right then, right where they were and with what they had at that time. Two fish and five loaves of bread, does not seem like much unless you put it in God's agenda and then it becomes a miracle.
If you want your life to become a miracle then
position it in God's agenda, right now, right where
you are and with what you have right now.
It is the recipe of success and fulfillment.
OUR LATEST MARCH PROJECT
This mom tries to keep her expenses down and so she heats her home with her wood fireplace as well as puts all her laundry outside to dry. We were able to clean out her chimney and purchased new equipment for her laundry.
It was a celebrated day for all of us involved. We believe that "service changes the server" and each of us came away that cold snowy day with a changed and grateful heart. Our vision will continue to be to schedule more projects such as this. Please contact us if you know of a single mom that could utilize Be the Gift and our assistance.
