Hello my friends,
This issue is dedicated to our last mission trip to Kenya, Africa.
We returned home on February 8th. I cannot begin to explain how gut wrenching it is to see children who have lost everything yet in the next breath to say how mind-blowing it is to see God restore life to them. And somehow in God's spectacular plan, we get to play a part in bringing HIS hope, HIS love and HIS destiny to these children. It is such a privilege that God has called each of us and all we have to do is to act on that calling.
Martin Luther King once said, "One of the great tragedies of life is that men seldom bridge the gulf between practice and profession, between doing and saying. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be, and you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be."
As I was pondering this quote and trying to understand its significance, the light came on. Of course we all have to reconcile about not just talking about our faith, but really putting our faith into action. As Dr. King says, each of us cannot fully be what we are called to be unless all of us become what we are called to be. Is it possible the orphans may not be rescued, Be the Gift may never reach its full potential and even you may not become all that you are destined to be unless each of us operate in that which God has called us to be.
Think of a person who has greatly influenced you spiritually. What would have happened to you if that person did not become who they were called to be?
A part of your life would be missing that they were destined to bring to you.
Be the Gift, single parents, orphans and this world need you to bridge that gulf between just saying and start doing. WE NEED YOU!!!!!!

This is Bill and Karen Howe's first trip to Kenya. Bill is a deputy Sheriff in Colorado. They were such a blessing as they helped
work in the orphanage, prepared and served food, taught in the classrooms and the Bible College and brought love and encouragement to all the children they came in contact with.
They are pictured here with their "possy"(the children with whom they really made a connection) The children loved Bill and Karen. |

I enjoyed the opportunity to have my daughter Katie journey with us to Kenya. Katie was usually swarmed by the children in the orphanage. One little girl named Caroline, was especially attached to her. Katie said, "This Mission Experience had such an impact on my life, I cannot wait to return and minister to the "heroes of this nation".

WE LOVE AND APPRECIATE
EACH OF YOU.
God Bless
