Vaccination Quackery Appears in Plain Sight

There was a mumps outbreak in the New York area late 2009 through early 2010 that surprised many because virtually all those infected had been vaccinated for mumps. Approximately 80% of the almost 2000 afflicted had received the required two shots of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) three in one vaccines. So what are regional health authorities recommending as a solution? A third dangerous MMR shot!

Even a CDC reviewed site admits that mumps in children is a mild disease, and once you've had the mumps, you won't get it again. You've been immunized by having it! Mumps and measles used to occur mostly with children well before puberty.

What's weird about this outbreak is that the average age for the afflicted is 15! In some communities years ago, parents would intentionally expose their kids to children with measles, mumps, or chickenpox to confer future immunity, successfully. So what's with all these vaccinations?

Questioning Medical Authority
The CDC reported that it takes two shots to immunize against mumps. The fact that almost all of those who came down with the mumps did receive both shots was ignored with that comment.

Administering a third MMR shot is raising the stakes for vaccine injury or long term bad health from this vaccination to purportedly prevent mild childhood diseases. Vaccines are loaded with toxins such as thimerosal (mercury), aluminum, and formaldehyde, and they're bypassing much of the immune system by injecting live attenuated viruses directly into the blood.

And there are those who think that a three phase vaccination provides the greatest risk of a cytokine storm, when an overly stimulated immune system feeds on the host with terrible, even lethal consequences.

Double Speak and Double Think
In his novel 1984, George Orwell explained double speak as the ability to make contradictory statements in one statement and double think as the ability for others to hold those contradictions simultaneously. For example: Newborns are required to receive hepatitis B vaccinations; hepatitis B is transmitted sexually or by sharing needles. Huh?

Reporting on the outbreak, mainstream media (MSM) said the CDC told them that the MMR vaccine was not 100% effective against mumps, but 75% to 85% effective. The percentage range of the mumps victims who did receive both MMR vaccinations was 75% to 85%! These two statements were printed very near each other in the same body of an MSM report. If you agree to double speak, you're conditioned with double think.

Since an attenuated live virus is being pumped into the blood, the very disease vaccinated against can be given. So if a third shot is administered, maybe closer to 100% of the "immunized" will come down with mumps?

Vaccine Industry Scientist Blows the Whistle
Investigative journalist Jon Rappaport interviewed a former vaccine scientist in 2009 who used the pseudonym Dr. Mark Randall to avoid harassment and pension loss since he was once of "the inner circle". Here's a small sampling from this revealing interview.

"The decline of disease is due to improved living conditions," [After investigating] I realized I was working in a sector based on a collection of lies." Most dangerous? "The DPT shot.. The MMR. As far as I'm concerned, all vaccines are dangerous." ... "They can actually cause the disease they are supposed to prevent. They can cause other diseases ..." (Source below)

Non-stick chemical in cookware linked to thyroid disease

A British study published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives has found that people with high levels of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in their blood also have higher rates of thyroid disease. PFOA is a chemical used in the production of many industrial and consumer products including non-stick cookware, stain-resistant carpet coatings, and fabric waterproofing treatments.

Nearly 4,000 American adults over the age of 20 were tested for PFOA between 1999 and 2006 and evaluated based on thyroid function. Researchers found that those with the highest blood serum levels of PFOA, above 5.7 nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml), were twice as likely to have thyroid disease than those with the lowest levels below 4.0 ng/ml.

Despite the fact that thyroid disease is typically more common in women rather than in men, researchers found that the link between PFOA and thyroid disease is as just as prevalent in men as it is in women.

Researchers seemed to tiptoe around the results of the study, however, carefully avoiding making a direct link between PFOA and thyroid disease. Tamara Galloway, lead author of the study and professor of ecotoxicology at Exeter University, explained that further research is needed to determine exactly how the chemicals affect people's bodies.

Ashley Grossman, professor of neuroendocrinology at Queen Mary, University of London, warned that declaring a connection between PFOA and thyroid disease based on studies like this should be avoided. She believes that until research is able to verify exactly how the chemical interferes with the thyroid, a definitive link cannot be inferred.

Located in the neck, the thyroid gland secretes the necessary hormones that regulate a person's growth and development. Hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland is operating below the healthy level, is a common disorder that is increasingly being linked to toxic chemicals like fluoride and chlorine which disrupt proper hormonal production. Symptoms of hypothyroidism can include hair loss, weight gain and chronic fatigue.

The connection between toxic chemicals and thyroid disease is undeniable, yet many refuse to accept it. Unless exact causation can be established, many will refuse to believe that there is even an association.

Even so, there are many ways to help improve thyroid function and overcome thyroid disease. Since toxic halogens like chlorine and fluoride block the uptake of necessary iodine in the thyroid, supplementation with a high-quality form of iodine can bring improved function. Other steps include detoxifying, improving one's diet, and avoiding the sources of toxic triggers.

Medical Establishment Finds New Excuse to Put Patients on Blood Pressure Medication

It seems that the medical establishment, along with the pharmaceutical industry, may have a new excuse to put a LOT more people on blood pressure medications. Of course, you can imagine the billions of profit dollars this could generate; so many pharmaceutical companies may be jumping for joy at this news.

What is the news? Well, new research is suggesting that people with consistently high blood pressure aren't the only ones that need to be on medications. The findings are showing that people with variable blood pressure readings may need to be on them as well, because of a substantial risk of stroke.

This could mean that millions more people would be prescribed various medications to regulate their blood pressure on an ongoing basis. The goal is that these deadly spikes, or blips, in blood pressure would be minimized. It also means that the pharmaceutical industry would see profits for their related drugs skyrocket, and patients would be on even more medications. As if America isn't already over medicated!

In fact, the research goes so far as to suggest that not only are individuals with intermittently spiking blood pressure at risk for stroke, but they also are actually at a higher risk of stroke than those with a diagnosed, persistent case of high blood pressure. This is the perfect reason to put people on blood pressure medications long term.

Never mind the fact that you can control blood sugar through lifestyle changes, exercise, table salt elimination, and sodium reduction. And never mind that there are actually several natural ways in which you can regulate your blood pressure. These natural ways are going to be largely ignored in favor of just assigning a medication to it - even in light of the fact that several high profile blood pressure medications cause side effects, cost a boatload of money every month, and tend to be something that is prescribed for life.

One family of drugs used is diuretics. Diuretics lower blood pressure by essentially making you urinate the excess salt out of your body. They can cause electrolyte imbalances and a host of unpleasant side effects, not to mention the fact that they make you have to run to the bathroom constantly.

Diuretics may also deplete your body's supply of the mineral potassium. This can result in leg cramps, fatigue, and weakness. Patients who are borderline diabetic and diabetic also can notice an increase in their blood sugar levels.

Instead of taking drugs, some of the ways you can naturally lower your blood pressure are easy, cheap (or free) and don't cause these types of side effects. One simple way to lower blood pressure naturally is to increase your intake of the minerals magnesium and potassium.

Bananas are a great source of potassium, and magnesium is found in the popular vegan grain quinoa. Quinoa has been shown to relax the blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure, and is also rich in amino acids and fiber.

Garlic is also excellent for helping to lower blood pressure naturally and actually has other health benefits as well. The active natural chemical in garlic that helps blood pressure is called allicin. Another food that is excellent for regulating blood pressure, which also happens to be virtually calorie-free, is celery. Because of celery's natural diuretic properties, it helps you rid your body of excess salt intake through urination.

Antibiotics Linked to Increased Risk of Birth Defects

Taking antibiotics during pregnancy can increase the risk of birth defects, according to a study conducted by researchers from the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities and published in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.

Although approximately 30 percent of women take at least one antibiotic between three months before conception and the date of delivery, many of the drugs have not been extensively tested for their safety on developing infants.

Researchers used data from the ongoing National Birth Defects Prevention Study to analyze antibiotic use in more than 13,000 women who had given birth to children with at least one defect and nearly 5,000 who had given birth to children without birth defects.

The antibiotics most strongly linked with birth defect risk were those in the nitrofurantoin and sulfonamide ("sulfa") families, including the brand-name drugs Bactrim, Furadantin, Macrobid, Macrodantin and Septra.

Women who gave birth to children with the fatal skull and brain malformation known as anencephaly were three times more likely to have taken a sulfa drug than women whose children did not have the defect. Sulfonamides were also associated with a higher risk of respiratory problems such as blocked nasal passages (choanal atresia) and abnormal diaphragm openings (diaphragmatic hernia); heart defects such as an abnormally narrow (coarctated) aorta or underdeveloped left side of the heart (hypoplastic left heart syndrome); and shortened or missing limb bones (transverse limb deficiency).

Children with a cleft lip or palate were twice as likely to be born to women who had taken nitrofurantoins. The drugs were also linked to congenital heart defects, eye defects and being born missing one or both eyes (anophthalmia).

Penicillin was associated with a higher risk of a kind of limb malformation, while erythromycin, cephalosporins and quinolones were all associated with a higher risk of one or two specific abnormalities each.

The researchers suggested that women avoid taking nitrofurantoins or sulfonamides when possible.

Cholesterol-lowering drug causes skin infection

03 March 2010
Just 22 years after one of the world's most widely-prescribed drugs for lowering cholesterol was launched, researchers have this week discovered that it has a serious 'double-whammy' effect that causes widespread infection and inflammation. The statin drug, simvastatin, which is marketed as Zocor and by other names, blocks the body's natural abilities to kill infections, and it also encourages the growth of other molecules that increase inflammation in the body. Scientists from the University of Siena in Italy, who made the discovery, said that infections on the skin and in the lungs were the most common that were caused by the statin. The drug was launched in the late 1980s, and quickly established annual sales of more than $3bn. Despite its widespread use, this is the first time it has been associated with these side effects. Why our daily bread is killing us
17 March 2010

Our daily bread is not very good for us. That's certainly true for the standard loaf you buy in the stores, and now researchers know why. Most bread is made with wheat flour and bran, and this causes insulin resistance which, in turn, can lead to high blood sugar (glycaemia), high blood pressure and cause bad blood fats. These are conditions that are precursors of type II diabetes and heart disease, researchers from Sweden's Lund University have discovered. The only bread that actually helps us become healthier is wholegrain bread that is baked with white rye flour, which comes from the inner, white part of the rye kernel. This bread helps improves levels of insulin and blood sugar levels. And to make your diet better yet, add porridge to the mix. WHAT IS ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER?
http://drhomoeopathy.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-is-attention-deficit-hyperactivity.html

We often hear children described as hyperactive, but what exactly does this mean? Most happy, normal children have a lot of energy, so how do you distinguish between an excited child and someone suffering from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder)? The answer is that it can be difficult. This disorder can vary in intensity and most children will express some of the symptoms some of the time.Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity).

ADHD HAS FOLLOWING TYPES
1.Hyperactive-
2.Impulsive
3.Inattentive
4.Combined hyperactive-impulsive and inattentive

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF ADHD IN CHILDREN?
Inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsive are the key behaviors of ADHD. It is normal for all children to be inattentive, hyperactive, or impulsive sometimes, but for children with ADHD, these behaviors are more severe and occur more often. To be diagnosed with the disorder, a child must have symptoms for 6 or more months and to a degree that is greater than other children of the same age.

CHILDREN OF INATTENTION SYMPTOM GROUP MAY:
1.Be easily distracted, miss details, forget things, and frequently switch from one activity to another
2.Have difficulty focusing on one thing,Struggle to follow instructions.
3.Become bored with a task after only a few minutes,
4.Have difficulty focusing attention on organizing and completing a task or learning something new
5.Not seem to listen when spoken to
6.Daydream, become easily confused, and move slowly

CHILDREN WHO HAVE SYMPTOMS OF HYPERACTIVITY MAY:
1.Fidget and squirm in their seats,Talk nonstop,Dash around, touching or playing with anything and everything in sight
2.Have trouble sitting still during dinner, school, and story time,Be constantly in motion
3.Have difficulty doing quiet tasks or activities.
4.Attention-seeking: All of the above symptoms are examples of attention-seeking. Hyperactive children are extremely demanding and their behaviour forces the parent or teacher to spend more time with them than anyone else
5.Unusually aggressive: One of the best ways to tell if a child is hyperactive is to watch how he or she behaves with contemporaries. For example, if they come up against one of the normal frustrations in playing a game, they can become unduly irritable or aggressive with their playmates. So fighting often, for little apparent reason, would be a possible indication of ADHD
6.Unaware of physical danger: Although most children appear frighteningly unaware of potential hazards, this trait can be more extreme in children with ADHD. They may wander off, to be found later at the top of a high tree or setting fire to the house

CHILDREN WHO HAVE SYMPTOMS OF IMPULSIVE MAY:
1.Be very impatient
2.Blurt out inappropriate comments, show their emotions without restraint, and act without regard for consequences
3.Have difficulty waiting for things they want or waiting their turns in games
Often interrupt conversations or others' activities.

CAUSES OF ADHD
Scientists are not sure what causes ADHD, although many studies suggest that genes play a large role. Like many other illnesses, ADHD probably results from a combination of factors. In addition to genetics, researchers are looking at possible environmental factors, and are studying how brain injuries, nutrition, and the social environment might contribute to ADHD. if you have a kid who is hyperactive and snores, think about the possibility that the two may be connected

[comment from Didi: vaccinations have also been implicated in ADHD]

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS
Behavioral therapy aims to help a child change his or her behavior.
1. It might involve practical assistance, such as help organizing tasks or completing schoolwork, or working through emotionally difficult events.
2. Behavioral therapy also teaches a child how to monitor his or her own behavior. Learning to give oneself praise or rewards for acting in a desired way, such as controlling anger or thinking before acting, is another goal of behavioral therapy. 3.Parents and teachers also can give positive or negative feedback for certain behaviors.
4.Therapists may teach children social skills, such as how to wait their turn, share toys, ask for help, or respond to teasing. Learning to read facial expressions and the tone of voice in others, and how to respond appropriately .
5.Children with ADHD need guidance and understanding from their parents and teachers to reach their full potential and to succeed in school.
6. Parenting skills training helps parents learn how to use a system of rewards and consequences to change a child's behavior. Parents are taught to give immediate and positive feedback for behaviors they want to encourage, and ignore or redirect behaviors they want to discourage.
7. Remember if the child is getting violent or unable to adjust in a particular condition,or with particular person always teach him to come out of that scene.
8.Parents are also encouraged to share a pleasant or relaxing activity with the child, to notice and point out what the child does well, and to praise the child's strengths and abilities.
9.Parents or the teachers should never discuss the negative point of the child ,give them such a atmosphere so that they can develop the confidence They may also learn to structure situations in more positive ways.
10. They may restrict the number of playmates to one or two, so that their child does not become overstimulated. Or, if the child has trouble completing tasks, parents can help their child divide large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps.
11. Parents may benefit from learning stress-management techniques to increase their own ability to deal with frustration, so that they can respond calmly to their child's behavior.
12. Keep the same routine every day, from wake-up time to bedtime. Include time for homework, outdoor play, and indoor activities.
13.Organize everyday items. Have a place for everything, and keep everything in its place. This includes clothing, backpacks, and toys.
14.Be clear and consistent. Children with ADHD need consistent rules they can understand and follow.
15.Give praise or rewards when rules are followed. Children with ADHD often receive and expect criticism. Look for good behavior, and praise it.
16.Avoid giving excessive sugar ,artificial colors to the child.
17.Fig ,Flax seeds, walnut are often found to be useful in these cases.

HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT:
Although while treating patients like this we have to keep many things in mind,
1.Take complete history of the patient.
2.Complete family history is necessary to find the medicine.
3. Treatment history of either of the parent and the patient.
4.Individualise the case in whole extent.
5.Try to find the correct constitutional medicine on miasmatic background.

Although the above said factors are to be kept in mind to find a correct homoeopathic medicine, still these medicines if taken under medical supervision can help the patient .Arnica montana,Belladonna,Agaricus,Lachesis,Sulphur,Stramonium ,Iodum Etc.
Proposed vitamin supplement limits scientifically flawed

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Commission (EC) have been working on establishing dosage limits on vitamins and supplements within the European Union (EU) using flawed toxicology risk assessment methods to make such determinations. A recent paper published in the journal Toxicology exposes the approach as "fatally flawed," citing the junk science being used to try to limit access to effective doses of nutritional supplements.

Robert Verkerk PhD, lead author of the article and scientific and executive director of the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) International, has been working for years to explain to various European and international authorities the illogic of using toxicologic risk analysis to assess proper nutrient dosages. His paper in Toxicology is his most extensive and thorough critique thus far.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission, created jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations back in 1963 to establish a world food code, established its guidelines for vitamin and mineral supplements back in 2005. Though not technically enforceable, especially in nations like the U.S. where such provisions would be wholly unconstitutional, the guidelines suggest establishing upper safe limits on vitamin and mineral supplements using the same toxicologic risk assessment methods used on dangerous toxins like mercury and lead.

In his paper, Verkerk lambasts the slightly modified version of the EU's method of assessing nutrients that is based on the Codex recommendations. According to his analysis, the vitamin and mineral limits currently being proposed are so low that one would exceed them by eating a simple junk food meal.

Two health trade associations in the U.K. recently conducted an analysis of their own that found that implementation of the limits in their country would end up shutting down over 700 independent retail stores, causing a loss in sales of over 100 million British pounds and costing at least 4,000 jobs. The Health Manufacturers Association and the National Association of Health Stores presented these findings to the UK Parliament back in December.

The Irish Association of Health Stores and ANH International both filed complaints with the European Parliament's Petitions Committee for redress in the matter. All petitions put forward thus far against the proposed limits, including scientific information exposing the methodology as unsound, have been ignored by both the EFSA and EC.

ANH International and other concerned groups from across Europe are proposing that the EFSA and EC stop the implementation of any vitamin and mineral supplement limits.
