Seven Remedies Treat Diabetes Naturally

Kirt Tyson, former type I diabetic was interviewed by Mike Adams. In the interview Kirt Tyson revealed that his diet was completely raw with no fruits. He ate only vegetables, seeds and nuts. He cured his diabetes on this simple 30 day raw diet. The once debilitating disease can now be treated with going on a raw diet and making some life changing decisions. Not only can you go raw, but you can also use these eight natural herbs and remedies to survive diabetes.

There are many remedies available today and some work better than others. Like the raw diet, it all depends on your body and your genetics. No cure works one hundred percent of the time for everyone. A raw diet is only the beginning. Continuing to eat healthy for the rest of your life ensures that you too can be free of this disease returning.

Besides going raw and eliminating sugar out of your life, you must switch to raw milk or its alternatives. In the book, The Devil in the Milk, Dr. Kevin Woodford explains how the type of milk we drink, directly reflects of the high incidence of many diseases, including diabetes and cancers. There are many substitutes available from almond milk to oat milk. They are extremely healthy and easy to make.

Black Seed
Black seed, also known as Nigella Sativa is a cure for all diseases, except death and considered to be a miraculous cure. It has been used for everything from acne to pancreatic cancers and doctors are raving about the results.

For seven days take 6 teaspoons of the oil. Take the oil three different times of the day. Then take 2 teaspoons in the morning and 2 in the evening for 4 days. Follow by taking 2 teaspoons of the oil for two days. Take plenty of water in the morning and rub the oil all over the body for 10 days. You must mix the oil with fruit juice. Repeat this treatment if you do not see any improvement.

Another remedy for the treatment of diabetes is to take one half cup of the seeds that have been heated and a half cup of water cress seeds (mustard seeds can be substituted) and a 1/4 cup of ground pomegranate peel. Place these all in a blender and pulse well to a fine powder. Add in 1/8 cup of fumitory. Each day take one teaspoon of the ground powder and one teaspoon of the oil, one hour before you eat. Do this for at least one month.

Fenugreek
Take 5-30 grams with each meal or up to 90 grams once a day. Do not take more than 100 grams as it will cause an upset stomach and make a person nauseated. Fenugreek cannot be taken at the same time as other medicines. You must wait at least one hour and preferably two before taking fenugreek. Diarrhea and gas are common side effects of fenugreek.

Warnings about taking fenugreek: If you notice these side effects stop taking fenugreek right away: difficulty in breathing, tightness in chest, rash, swollen and itchy skin. Also if you are pregnant, consult your physician before taking fenugreek.

Cinnamon
Cinnamon has long been reported as a good source for the treatment of diabetes, due to a study done in 2003 by Khan and associates. 60 people were tested in the group and one third of the group was given a placebo. The end results were very impressive and the overall health of the group was increased with glucose down 18 percent; LDL cholesterol and triglycerides also showed reduced levels. Everyone was excited and the word of using cinnamon spread.

According to Cancer Tutor.com, "At least 1/2 teaspoon a day, which is critical to "soften" the cell membranes. Cinnamon mimics insulin, thus it may lower your need for insulin immediately."

Grape seed Extract
Grape seed extract has been proven to improve the conditions associated with this disease. Grape seed performed greatly in studies conducted in 2006 in Toyama Japan, in 2009 in Romania and also in Portsmouth UK. Grape seed was successful in protecting the liver cells and setting up defense mechanisms against reactive oxygen species produced by hyperglycemic conditions.

Grape seed comes in capsules of 50-100mg. It is usually suggested to take 50mg per 50 lbs of weight, not to exceed 300mg per day. Whole grape seeds are the best alternative, which need to be ground and placed in vegetarian capsules. Taking 3 capsules a day is enough. The time of day does not matter.

Olive Oil
The Department of Health Sciences of the University of Jaen is researching the correlation between preventing diabetes and the consumption of olive oil. Through research, they have found that an oil rich diet may prevent diabetes. By using olive oil, you can reduce your blood levels including LDL and triglycerides.

By olive oil reducing the cholesterol levels, you can prevent such diseases as cardiovascular, atherosclerosis and diabetes. Prevention of diabetes begins with weight management and proper diet. The Mediterranean diet has been shown beneficial in the treatment of diabetes by using olive oil, which is monounsaturated instead of saturated fats.

Before sleeping drink 1/4 cup of olive oil. If you prefer to use lecithin, mix one tablespoon of lecithin with one tablespoon of olive oil. Keep in mind that one cup of olive oil has 2000 calories. Just because it is healthy does not mean a person can ignore the calorie intake.

Bitter Melon
Researchers have proven that bitter melon works great with the treatment of diabetes. It contains insulin like properties which help in the lowering of the blood and urine levels. It is suggested to be used frequently.

The bitter melon should be juiced and then taken on an empty stomach before eating first thing in the morning. The seeds may be ground to a powder and eaten also. You can also, make a tea from the bitter melon.

Vitamin C and Diabetes
Researchers have found that using from 100-600mg of vitamin C daily can cause you to normalize your sugar levels, in as little as one month. Diabetics have a complication of too much sugar, sorbitol, in the body, which eventually leads to eye and nerve damage.

Home Made Remedies
It should be noted that there are no case studies about these home remedies, only people testifying to their personal success.

1. Avocado
Take one avocado seed and grill the seed. Slice the seed into several chunks. Add this to a pot of water and bring to boil, wait till the water turns brown. Strain the water mixture and drink when cool. Expect to see results within two weeks.

2.Apples
Take one apple and cut into chunks. Place the apple in a pan with 4 cups of water and bring to boil and cook until the water is reduced in half. Drink this morning and night. It is expected to show relief within two months.

Diabetes does not have to be a life threatening disease. It is possible and probable with natural remedies to allow the patient to live a normal and healthy life.

Massage Brings More than Just Relaxation

The tremendous benefits of regular massage are irreplaceable to the human body. Massage is a variety of sometimes ancient techniques that manipulate the soft tissues of the body. It can definitely relax you, but there are some benefits of massage that go far beyond relaxation.

Pain and anxiety are two common problems associated with receiving massage therapy. By soothing muscles and nerves a greater state of well being is achieved for the recipient. When you take this concept further you find that massage can also benefit chronic pain and even self esteem. Massage allows for person to person contact that promotes feelings of comfort and soothing.

Medically massage is used for sports related injuries and to promote optimum performance of muscles. Through a pattern of exercise and massage, injuries can be avoided and greater athletic achievements can be accomplished. The regular massage prevents small injuries from becoming bigger ones and the athlete avoids the pain cycle all together. Massage is also an immune system enhancer that benefits patients with chronic immune system diseases like HIV. Increasing the circulation of healthy blood cells in the body helps these patients fight off disease better and keep a more positive mental attitude that is crucial for their survival.

Infants and babies have shown positive responses to massage through toddlerhood. The birthing process is often made easier and less complicated by regular massage during pregnancy and throughout the labor process. Massage for premature babies promotes better weight gain, and massage for babies with diabetes correlates with better lifelong compliance with regimens and healthier lifestyle choices.

The effects of massage on patients with high blood pressure should also not be overlooked. Massage can play a key part in the regulation and control of chronic high blood pressure by not only relaxing the patient, but also by helping the central nervous system to balance as it regulates blood flow throughout the body more efficiently. Regular massage combined with isometric exercise has been shown to improve both the blood pressure and blood regulation in patients.

Massage Therapy is a technique that can benefit a great number of people with a wide variety of complaints both physical and mental. This form of therapy can be incorporated into a balanced and healthy lifestyle to promote continuous and further health and well being as well as to be used as treatment therapy for those with chronic mental and physical conditions.

Natural Healing and Lifestyle Changes Shown to Help Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a skin condition where reddened rashes or plaques covered in slivery scales can appear on the skin of the scalp, back of the wrists, elbows, knees, buttocks, ankles and sites of repeated trauma. There is a family history in 50% of cases. The condition is fairly common, occurring in 2-4% of the population, and mainly in Caucasians. Some individuals also experience associated arthritis (psoriatic arthritis). So what causes psoriasis, and how can it be treated naturally?

Psoriasis is caused by a buildup of skin cells that have replicated too rapidly. The rate at which skin cells divide in psoriasis is roughly 1000 faster than normal skin cells. This high rate of replication is simply too fast for the cells to shed, so they accumulate, resulting in the silvery, scaly characteristic of psoriasis.

The problem results from a basic defect within the skin's cells. Although genetic factors play a significant component, rebalancing the defect in skin cells is the prime therapeutic goal. A number of problems appear to cause or contribute to the condition.

Incomplete digestion increases levels of undigested protein in the bowel and creates compounds called polyamines. These contribute to the excessive formation of skin cells. Polyamines have been found to be increased in individuals with psoriasis. Taking protein digesting enzymes to ensure proper protein digestion may help.

Toxins from bacteria in the gut have been found to be higher than normal in individuals with psoriasis. These toxins increase skin cell proliferation. Low fibre diets are linked to increased bowel toxicity. Sarsaparilla has been found very useful to help reduce toxins from the bowel. A high fibre, low sugar, low saturated fat diet promotes good gut health. Probiotics may also be useful.

Inflammation can cause psoriasis since these individuals often have a far higher production of inflammatory compounds called leukotrienes. Leukotrienes have been found to increase cell proliferation. These compounds are produced from arachadonic acid; a fat found solely in animal fats and other animal food sources. Omega 3 fats will reduce these pro-inflammatory fats, and individuals with psoriasis have been found to be deficient in omega 3. Quercitin, vitamin E, garlic, onions, omega 3 fats and minimising sources of arachadonic acid in the diet may all help reduce the inflammation and the psoriasis.

Treating liver problems in individuals with psoriasis has been found to be of great benefit. Alcohol consumption may significantly worsen psoriasis. It increases absorption of toxins from the gut and reduces the liver's capacity to detoxify them. Milk thistle has been found to be of value in the treatment of the liver and psoriasis.

Food allergies, the common one being gluten, may be important for some patients with psoriasis. Allergy testing can be very useful in this.

Decreased levels of certain nutrients, or an increased need, can result in psoriasis. Nutrients include vitamin A, zinc, chromium selenium, glutathione, vitamin E and Vitamin D.

Ultraviolet light has also been found to be very useful in treating psoriasis.

Foods to avoid:
  • - Avoid sugar and white refined carbohydrates as they feed bad bacteria in the gut and can increase toxins absorbed from the gut.
  • - Minimise saturated fat from dairy produce and fatty cuts of red meat since they contain the pro-inflammatory fat arachadonic acid that has been associated with psoriasis.
  • - Minimise alcohol as it increases the absorption of toxins from the gut and reduces the liver's ability to detoxify toxins.

Foods to increase:
  • - Increase intake of sources of fibre including all vegetables and fruit, lentils, beans and gluten-free grains.
  • - Ensure you eat sources of oily fish which contains the anti-inflammatory omega 3, three times per week. Oily fish includes salmon, trout, herring, mackerel, anchovies, sardines and tuna.
  • - Other non-fish sources of omega 3 are flax oil, hemp oil and walnuts.
  • - Eat pumpkin seeds, linseeds and sunflower seeds as these contain a range of anti-inflammatory essential fatty acids and zinc, which supports good skin health.
  • - Try more gluten free grains such as brown rice, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, tapioca, corn and quinoa.
  • - Try alternatives to milk including unsweetened soy milk, oat milk and rice milk.
  • - Figs, prunes, kiwi and papaya are all very good for the skin.
  • - Use rosemary, caynenne pepper and turmeric in your cooking as they contain anti-inflammatory properties.
  • - Make plenty of vegetable juices including raw beetroot, artichoke, carrots and apples with a base of celery and cucumber as these will help cleanse the liver.
Ensure you chew your food thoroughly and sit down at each meal where possible as this will improve your digestion and absorption of protein.

Sunbathing is also helpful for psoriasis because it increases levels of vitamin D. However, avoid getting sunburned as this can increase the risk of skin cancer.

Consider ultra violet light therapy for three minutes three times per week using 295-305nm.

Ensure you manage your stress levels: moderate exercise, yoga, tai chi, meditation and all good forms of relaxation.

Therapeutic Hypnosis
Hypnosis is Made of Three Main Components: Absorption, Dissociation and Suggestion

Hypnosis is often called a 'trance state.' A trance state is an altered state that is different from normal wakening state characterized by beta waves in the brain. It is simply a heightened state of concentration and awareness. Most people achieve a hypnotic trance state every day and many times a day by driving a car or getting absorbed in a book. It is thought that people have a certain capacity for hypnotic trance. People who are able to have hypnotic experiences during their everyday life are thought to be highly suggestible.

There are three main components of hypnosis: absorption, dissociation, and suggestibility. Generally speaking, the more suggestible a person is, the more they are able to dissociate and a person is able to direct their attention and their absorption is more focused (Spiegel & Spiegel, 2004). It has been found that people who are highly hypnotizable have the personality trait of 'absorption.' They are more likely to find themselves absorbed in a task.

A study was performed on the hypnotizability of 481 undergraduate women. In addition to measuring their hypnotic suggestibility, their personality traits were studied. The study found that absorption was a common personality trait of highly suggestible women and there was a correlation between hypnotizability and absorption. These women commonly had moments of full attention on specific tasks in their everyday lives. The absorption was also characterized by fully engaged representational systems including their visual, auditory, and kinesthetic resources (Tellegen & Atkinson, 1974).

Another study looked to compare the differences between low hypnotizables and high hypnotizables. It was found that the hypnotic responsiveness of high hypnotizables was due to dissociated control. This suggests that suggestions from a hypnotic trance activate cognitive control. During hypnosis a person is often able to dissociate themselves from normal conscious and cognitive thought. People who possess the ability to be more likely to become hypnotized also have an easier time dissociating themselves from their surrounding or from cognitive thought (Bowers, 1992).

The third component of hypnosis is suggestibility. The induction aspect of a hypnosis session increases suggestibility. When a person has increased absorption and increased dissociation due to a hypnotic induction or trance, they become more suggestible (Kirsch, 1997).

Due to these three main components of hypnosis, there are varying degrees of hypnotizability and suggestibility in people. The capacity to be hypnotically induced can be either genetic or learned. Hypnosis can occur in three different ways: spontaneously, induced by a hypnotist, or self-induced. People respond to hypnosis in different ways and in different capacities.

Ghee: Stove Top Super Food from Mother of All Health Systems

(NaturalNews) Ghee for thee is much better than butter for you. Ghee, made from butter, is considered a health food in Indian Ayurvedic (pronounced Ah-your-vadic) medicine, which has a 5000 year history predating even Chinese medicine. Ayurveda is continually gaining popularity in the western modern world. Ghee is the preferred cooking oil in India, and it is a healing food in Ayurvedic medicine. Though sometimes confused with clarified butter, ghee goes beyond clarified butter with more health benefits.

The only problem is that if you buy ghee from a health food store, it`s expensive. And you really have little control over the quality of that purchased jar`s content. So why not make your own ghee with a high quality butter and get more ghee for less cost? This article will explain how to make your own after you`ve hopefully been motivated by ghee`s healthful food properties along with a little understanding of Ayurvedic medicine.

A Little on Ayurveda
Ayurveda has its roots from ancient India, but it`s not voodoo or woo-woo. Ayurveda`s foundational wisdom of food as the first medicine for preventing disease, and herbal remedies for curing disease are constantly creeping into the western world`s holistic circles. What is amazing about Ayurveda are the diagnostic techniques for dietary advice and herbal remedies.

Ayurvedic clinics have no expensive equipment, which lowers overhead, and they dispense inexpensive herbs along with dietary advice. All this adds up to providing very inexpensive, effective medical care.

In the hands (literally) of a good Ayurvedic practitioner as well as the practitioner`s eyes and ears, Ayurvedic doctors are able to tell you of underlying problems that unless attended soon will cause future disease, often even before modern allopathic testing gets a hint. This is because the foundation of Ayurveda undercuts the complexity of modern medicine.

By the way, except for being okay with fermented non-GMO soy, Ayurvedic doctors were naysayers on soy years before many others caught on. Their history is ancient, but their awareness is ahead of the contemporary curve. Their ability to catch hidden bad health indicators and give you the tools to thwart them before they manifest can put you in charge of your present and future health.

Ayurveda is the source of Chinese medicine`s diagnostic techniques, using pulse characteristics, tongue observations, and gathering information of a client`s emotional tendencies, physiological reactions to cold and heat, and life style characteristics. Ayurveda`s basic premise is that there are three doshas, or the tridosha concept.

Each dosha is a mind-body characteristic to help determine an individual`s constitutional type. One`s constitutional type, categorized by the dominant dosha or doshas, is determined with a dosha analysis. From this a diet can be prescribed that is in harmony with your constitutional type.

Though all three doshas are present in all of us, usually one or two are dominant. Each dosha has elemental qualities, such as air, fire, earth and water, which were taken up and used by Chinese medicine after Ayurveda. Dosha disorders that create constitutional imbalances are remedied through lifestyle changes, prescribed diets, and herbs.

The prescribed diet balances your doshas by lessening food types that emphasize certain already strong doshas, and increasing food types that augment weak doshas. Surprisingly, you`re not expected to be completely vegan. If you prefer, even meats may be consumed when balanced properly within the diet.

However, the average SAD (standard American diet) person will usually have a very hard time adapting to the dietary shift prescribed. Approaching a prescribed Ayurvedic diet gradually is not unusual, unless one is really motivated!

A balanced dosha system creates steady good health. An Ayurvedic doctor can prescribe remedies for your present and future condition by reading your pulse with his fingers and observing your tongue. But it takes a list of questions and observations to determine your dominant dosha(s) and constitutional type.

You can do a short form dosha quiz to get an idea of what a long form questionnaire will be like in an Ayurvedic clinic here: http://www.whatsyourdosha.com/

What Is Ghee and How Can I Make It?
Ghee is good for all the doshas, and even assists with balancing them.

It is the premier cooking oil in Indian Cuisine. Though derived from butter, it has a much higher burning point than even most cooking oils, 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 191 degrees Centigrade. Ghee has more positive health effects than butter without the impurities (saturated fat, milk solids), enabling even lactose intolerant people to use it as butter on toast or pasty and in cooking.

Modern western science has discovered that ghee has phenolic antioxidants, which bolster the immune system. Traditionally in Ayurveda, ghee has been used to enhance digestion, improve memory, promote intelligence, and lubricate connecting tissues. It is healthier than butter for every day use, as it does not contain any dairy product cholesterols and its caloric content is low as well.

According to Dr. Vasant Lad, author, lecturer, and director of the Albuquerque, NM Lad Ayurvedic Clinic, "Ghee relieves chronic fever, anemia and blood disorders and is useful for detoxification. . . . it aids in the balancing of the tridosha. Ghee promotes the healing of wounds and alleviates peptic ulcer and colitis. It is good generally for the eyes, nose and skin."

Making Ghee at Home
If you don`t have the time or inclination and you have the bucks, at least buy and try some ghee for cooking and buttering to improve your health. However, some believe it will taste better while giving you quality control if you make it yourself, besides being cheaper.

To make it yourself, get the best butter you can buy. Butter from whole raw milk is ideal, but difficult to find unless you know some Amish or Menonite groups who make dairy products from raw milk. Googling raw butter or raw butter sources may get you somewhere though. At least make sure you get real organic butter from whole milk if you can`t get raw butter.

There is some deceptive labeling out there with lowered USDA organic requirements, which allow dairy producers to use a percentage of milk containing hormones (rBGH)in their dairy products. Do some research, or talk with knowledgeable health food store staff to determine which butter brands are truly organic.

It`s also important to make sure the milk producing cows are grazed on non-chemically sprayed or non-fertilized grasses or alfalfa. Toxins get lodged in fats, and you don`t need those toxins in your ghee.

Get at least one pound of organic unsalted butter. Make sure you have unbleached cheesecloth on hand for filtering the liquid, and make sure you have a clean, sterilized heat resistant lidded jar on hand for the finished hot ghee.

Put the butter into a pan or pot over low heat. When the butter completely melts, continue heating at low heat until boiling occurs. There may be some sputtering as the water in the butter boils off. Before 30 minutes elapses, you should be aware of three layers in the liquid.

1) A top layer of foam, which is the water boil off
2) A middle layer of liquid
3) And at the bottom, the milk solids

If you want clarified butter for shrimp, crab, and lobster, here it is! But getting the ghee requires a couple of more steps.

Continue heating and now stir occasionally while closely watching to prevent the clarified butter from burning. Keep an eye on the milk solids as you stir occasionally. The milk solids will turn medium brown, and the liquid will become a translucent golden while emitting a fragrant nutty aroma.

At this point remove from the heat. Let it sit for a short while to ensure all the milk solids drop to the bottom. But while it`s sitting, go ahead and skim the foam or froth from the top of the liquid. A gravy or fat separator can make this easier. This is an important step, as you don`t want any water in your ghee. Water will spoil it.

Then get your cheesecloth layered over twice, or once inside of a fine mesh filter, and place that over the mouth of your selected jar. Pour carefully into the jar through the cheesecloth to prevent those milk solids from getting into the jar.

Keep the jar lid off until it cools to room temperature to prevent moisture from forming on the inside of the lid and contaminating the ghee. Then put the lid on. You can refrigerate it or put it on a shelf.

Ghee keeps for a year, even without refrigeration. If you want to use it for buttering toast or pastry, you will probably prefer it in a more solid state. So you can refrigerate it to keep it solid, as it gets soft for buttering quickly when taken out. You won`t need to be concerned about having it spoil if you do leave it out.

Beware: as you use your ghee for cooking or buttering, make sure you do not allow any food particles, crumbs, or water to get into the ghee. Those can contaminate and spoil your ghee.
