Kidney Stones: A Squeeze of Lemon Juice Prevents the Most Painful Condition Known to Man
Kidney Stones truly are one of, if not THE, most painful medical
problems on earth. This disabling illness sends tens of thousands to
the Emergency Room in excruciating pain each year. But the research is
clear: drinking a small amount of Lemon Juice every day is an effective
way to prevent these painful stones from ever having to happen in the
first place.
One of the worst pains that anyone can ever imagine
is a kidney stone. Women who have experienced both natural childbirth
and kidney stones say that the pain of having a kidney stone is far
worse. And it is far scarier because it comes on so suddenly, without
prior warning and seemingly no reason why it is happening. Without
knowing what is going on, this frightening experience has nearly anyone
who experiences it going to the emergency room within minutes believing
that they are dying.
Yet as painful as one is, it is simply a
tiny crystal the size of a grain of sand or smaller that has lodged in
the urinary outlet that causes so much pain. However, the vast majority
of stones actually pass out of the body on their own whether medical
treatment is given or not. Once someone has had a kidney stone, the
probability of getting another is almost 50%- and some people get
several in their lifetime. Unfortunately, the only advice that most
doctors have to give is to drink lots of fluids and avoid calcium which
is the usual component of kidney stones. But avoiding calcium is not
only worthless at preventing kidney stones, but it can be dangerous-
increasing the risk of osteoporosis unnecessarily.
However, there is a cheap and easy way to prevent kidney stones from EVER
happening in the first place. Juice- particularly citrus juice- has
been shown to be an effective way to prevent kidney stones from ever
forming. While preventing kidney stones seem to be an enigma to medical
science that doesn't understand the connection with diet, there is
really a very easy explanation as to why this works. Kidney stones are
formed when calcium in the blood is unable to dissolve into solution.
The undissolved calcium then forms crystals that end up passing through
the kidneys and into the urinary tract- causing pain when one is large
enough to get stuck. But juices are usually acidic, and citrus juices
have an acid called citric acid that allows the calcium to dissolve in
the blood, be absorbed into the digestive tract and therefore be unable
to cause kidney stones.
Study after study has shown this treatment works, to the point that it is not debated WHETHER juice works to prevent kidney stones, but WHICH TYPE
of juice works best. Lemon juice and orange juice, with their high
content of citric acid, seem to be the most effective, while grapefruit
juice and cranberry juice have shown mixed results and have caused
higher rates of kidney stones in some studies. Even apple juice, which
contains malic acid, seems to work well. But make sure that your juice
is JUST juice and does not contain high fructose corn syrup, as that has been shown to be a CAUSE
of kidney stones and could make your problem worse. So drink your juice
and prevent the most painful condition known to man from ever happening
to you.

Detox and Cleanse with Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
The cleansing properties of apple cider vinegar have been utilized for
centuries. Eastern medicine teaches us that apple cider vinegar can
help stimulate circulation and aid detoxification in the liver. Ancient
cultures often used apple cider vinegar to purify the blood. Today we
are exposed to more toxins than ever before, so it's become even more
important that we take care of our bodies by detoxing with natural
medicinal foods like apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar is
rich in natural minerals, vitamins and enzymes. Supplying these
nutrients to the body is crucial during a time of detoxification, when
all the systems in the body go into overdrive to purge out toxic
material. The unique acids in apple cider vinegar can bind to toxins
and help the body eliminate them more effectively. They are also equip
to fight bacteria, fungus and Candida.
Another way apple cider
vinegar aids detoxification is by breaking up mucus throughout the body
and cleansing the lymph nodes to allow for better lymph circulation. A
healthy lymphatic system can remove toxins from the cells in the body
while improving immune system response.
Taking apple cider
vinegar before meals aids digestion and improves gastric health,
helping the body remove toxic waste more efficiently. When foods are
digested thoroughly and waste eliminated quickly, the body is nourished
and toxins are removed before they have time to do damage.
Remember,
to get real results you must choose a real product. The ideal apple
cider vinegar is in raw liquid form. It should be unprocessed and
unfiltered, with plenty of "mother" in it. Any other kind of apple
cider vinegar will be far less effective and may provide no benefits at
all. In fact, some cheap imitations are simply white distilled vinegar
with caramel coloring added!
Take apple cider vinegar in small
doses throughout the day. Many people like to take 1-3 teaspoons in a
glass of water before meals to aid digestion. Others enjoy adding it to
hot water with honey to drink as a tea. You can also use apple cider
vinegar to make tasty and nutritious sauces and salad dressings.
A
hot bath prepared with a cup of apple cider vinegar and a cup of Epsom
salts will draw toxins out through the skin and help jumpstart the
cleansing process. This can also help relieve joint pain as well as
skin conditions like eczema and acne.
While apple cider vinegar
can play an important role in detoxification, it will be far more
effective when combined with a naturally healthy lifestyle that
includes these habits:
- Eat a balanced diet that consists of
unprocessed, natural foods that will provide the body with the
nutrition it needs to purify itself.
- Include some raw, uncooked foods in your diet since these supply important enzymes that will help you detox.
-
Choose organic foods to help reduce your exposure to toxins. Keep in
mind processed foods of all kinds should be avoided, even if they are
labeled organic.
- Exercise regularly to improve the health of
the circulatory and lymphatic systems, both of which work to cleanse
and purify the body.
- Reduce toxin exposure by using natural household cleaners and beauty products.
-
Drink only filtered water to avoid potential toxin exposure. Getting
plenty of pure water will also aid natural detoxification processes.

Homeopathy Arsenic 30 preventive for H1N1 (Swine) flu, says CCRH
The Indian Department of AYUSH (alternative systems) has released a
press note suggesting use of Arsenic alb 30 one dose for three
consecutive days as preventive for Swine flu.
It has the approval of Director General Health Services and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
This has come after a study by Experts of "Genus Epidemicus" (Common
symptoms of suffering patients vis a vis the repetorised drug). In this
study Arsenic alba covered 80% of the symptoms.
Regarding exploring the scope of homeopathy, homeopathic medicines in
H1N1 virus (swine flu) prevention and treatment, Dr. Anil Singhal, MD
(Homeo), a homeopathic physician and consultant in Gurgaon, near New
Delhi proposed guidelines related to:
- prevention (a genus epidemicus with symptoms from H1N1 patients)
- prevention with nosode (prepare H1N1 influenzinum)
- post influenza treatment (follow-ups to note any effects, and to
prevent any chronicity as per miasm theory), and other similar aspects.
"In the second week of August, I suggested Arsenic alba homeopathic
remedy as a prophylactic homeopathic medicine for H1N1 flu. With some
of my views on H1N1, I believe, we all can work together to make this
world H1N1 free" says Dr. Anil Singhal, MD(Hom.), Visiting Faculty to
Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, New Delhi, Dr. B. R.
Sur Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, New Delhi, and Bakson
Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Greater Noida.

Why swine flu vaccines just don't add up: Doing the (fuzzy) math
Here's a seventh grade word problem for you: If swine flu has
infected one million people and killed 500, how many people might be
expected to die if it infects 150 million people (assuming no major
changes in the virus)? The correct answer, of course, is 75,000 people,
and that's within the range of the number of swine flu deaths now being
publicly predicted by the White House.
But there's another part
to this word problem: How many vaccine shots and hand washings does it
take to boost vitamin D levels in the average person?
The question, of course, makes no sense. Vaccine shots don't boost vitamin D levels any more than eating pork infects you with swine flu.
So why is the official advice on swine flu protection essentially
limited to "wash your hands, get your vaccine shot and cough into your
elbow?" (Seriously. I'm not making this up.)
The Associated Press
has distilled swine flu advice to "10 things you need to know." None of
those ten things include boosting your nutrition, getting more vitamin
D or taking anti-viral medicinal herbs. They do, however, include
hilarious explanations like "If you develop breathing problems, pain in
your chest, constant vomiting or a fever that keeps rising, go to an
emergency room."
Emergency room in a pandemic? Whatever
for? They don't bother to mention that in a pandemic scenario that
strikes you with constant vomiting, the entire emergency room is likely
to be overrun with other people joining you in a hospital room vomit fest.
Nor
do they mention some other important math: The very limited number of
anti-viral medication courses available in the U.S. The last time I
checked, that was roughly 50 million courses. If the U.S. population is
roughly 300 million people, and there are 50 million courses of
anti-viral meds available, how many Americans will have no access to
those meds? (Ahem... 250 million people...)
Here's an even more interesting brain buster for you: If each vaccine shot generates $25 in revenue for drug companies, and the U.S. government orders the production of 160 million vaccines, how much money is Big Pharma making off the pandemic? That answer is roughly $4 billion in net revenues.
But even that doesn't count all the repeat business from the future victims who suffer neurological side effects
from the vaccines and have to be institutionalized and subjected to
high-dollar medical care for years on end. In all, a mass vaccination
program could end up generating over ten billion dollars in revenues
for drug companies.
These numbers just don't add up Now
let's look at some serious statistics: If one million people have
already been infected with swine flu, and 500 have died, that's a
fatality rate of 1 out of 2000 people. Depending on which research you
believe, vaccines might at most be credited with preventing 1% of flu
deaths during any given flu season (and that's being very generous to
the vaccine). So here's the question:
How many people have to be vaccinated with the new swine flu vaccine to save ONE life from a swine flu fatality?
(Notice,
carefully, this question has never been asked in the mainstream media.
That's because the answer isn't exactly what most people want to
hear...)
This question is easy to answer, actually. If the vaccine were 100% effective
(that is, they prevented every death that would have otherwise
occurred), they could be credited with saving 1 life out of 2000,
right? Because that's the normal death rate for this particular virus
(these figures are widely quoted by AP, Reuters and the White House, by
the way).
But no vaccine is 100% effective. As I mentioned above, seasonal flu vaccines
might -- at a stretch -- be credited with preventing 1% of the deaths
that might otherwise have occurred. With this 1% effectiveness factor
calculated back into the formula for swine flu (assuming the same 1%
effectiveness factor), it turns out that you would have to vaccinate 200,000 people to save ONE life from swine flu.
That
puts a whole new perspective on the vaccine push, doesn't it? 200,000
vaccines costs taxpayers roughly $5,000,000, and it subjects 200,000
people to the potential side effects of these vaccines which have never
been subjected to any long-term testing whatsoever.
It all begs the question: Is it really worth it?
Is
it worth spending $5 million and exposing 200,000 people to potentially
dangerous vaccine side effects in order to prevent ONE death from swine
flu? And why isn't anybody breaking down the numbers on this issue and
providing a serious cost / benefit analysis as I'm doing here?
Let's be generous to the vaccine... Vaccine
pushers might argue that the vaccine is far more than 1% effective at
preventing swine flu deaths. In their wildest dreams, they might
imagine a death reduction rate of, say, a wildly optimistic 10%. But
even considering that, is it worth it? If the vaccine stops 10% of
deaths that would have otherwise occurred, that still means you'd have
to vaccinate 200,000 people to prevent the deaths of ten people.
I'm going to throw out a wild guess here and suggest that far more than 10 people will be killed by the vaccine itself, completely nullifying any net reduction in total deaths. Mathematically, you see, mass swine flu vaccinations make absolutely no sense given the very low rate of fatalities being observed right now.
Just do something! Of course, public health policy is never based on sense. It's based on politics.
And the politics demand that "they DO something!" That's what the
public wants: Do something! It doesn't matter if doing something is
worse than doing nothing... they just want to see some action.
It's the same story with breast cancer
screenings (almost completely useless), prostate cancer screenings (now
proven to be far more harmful than helpful) and of course ADHD
screening tests (which are only designed to trick parents into drugging
their kids). Much of western medicine, it turns out, is complete hokum. We would all be better off without the screenings and without the vaccinations altogether.
There's a highly credible book on this subject by authors Gerald E. Markle and Frances B. McCrea. It's called What if Medicine Disappeared? (http://www.amazon.com/What-Medicine...)
This
book argues quite persuasively (and with the citation of many
convincing studies) that western medicine offers virtually no net gain
in quality of life
to the very people it claims to serve. Doctors, hospitals, vaccines and
cancer clinics could all disappear tomorrow and most people would
actually be far better off. Of course, no one disputes the value of
having emergency rooms to handle acute trauma and accidents, but when
it comes to preventive medicine and protecting quality of life, western
medicine is a near-total failure.
When it comes to swine flu vaccines, any honest look at the math reveals that 200,000 people will have to be vaccinated with a largely untested experimental vaccine in order to prevent the death of one person (or ten people, if you really believe in vaccines). Remembering that more than one person in 200,000 will almost certainly be killed by the vaccine itself, it really makes you wonder: What's the point of all this?
The point, of course, is to sell vaccines.
It's the one math problem that everybody understands: To make money,
you have to sell a product, and there's no better way to sell vaccines
to 160 million people than to scare them into begging for injections
that are statistically opposed their own self interests. But I suppose
anything is possible in a country where state governments can
punitively tax the poor by convincing them to play the lottery. People
who play the lottery are very likely to be the same people getting
vaccine shots: It's like a lottery on your health, except that your
odds of "winning" are far worse than your odds of winning something in
a state lotto.
Let's see: You have a 1 in 1 chance of being
injected with foreign viral matter, and yet you only have a 1 in
200,000 chance of your life being saved by it.
Allow me to put this into perspective: You
have a 40 times greater chance of being struck by lightning at some
point in your life than having your life saved by the swine flu vaccine. (Source: National Weather Service statistics.)
Mathematically
speaking, getting a swine flu injection and hoping it will save your
life is more foolish than buying a lotto ticket with your last dollar
and hoping you'll scratch off a multi-million dollar winning ticket.
And buying a lotto ticket doesn't risk the health of your nervous system,
by the way. You can always earn back a buck, but restoring your nervous
system after it's attacked by a rogue vaccine can take years or
decades. Some never recover. (Thousands died from the 1976 vaccines.)
Pop quiz: What's the actual cost of vaccinating 160 million Americans with an unproven, experimental swine flu vaccine?
Answer:
$1.6 billion plus countless victims with strange neurological
disorders, comas and sudden death -- all of which will be written off
as "coincidence" by the vaccine pushers.

Not Just a Beautiful Flower: The Marigold Brings Natural Health
[note from Didi: don't confuse Calendula with the common Indian or African "marigold" found in gardens in Kenya. they are not the same plant] Marigold (also known as Calendula officinalis) is not just a beautiful
flower, but a natural medicine for many conditions. The marigold has
now been placed in the books of cancer and anti-cancer cures, because
it has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. The
marigold is also able to help in the treatment of wounds. It is
excellent in healing burns, stings and impetigo (a contagious skin
infection.) It is also wonderful in the treatment of warts, corns and
calluses. The flowers are also used in the treatment of many skin conditions from eczema to varicose ulcers.
This
wonderful garden flower is used to line many gardens with and is found
on many mountains. The calendula offcinalis is taken from the Latin
word Kalendae, (1st day of the Roman calendar). The marigold blooms all
year round and is also known as "flower of rain." The flower will not
open if it is going to rain.
One should be careful not to
confuse the Arnica flower with the Calendula, as the Arnica can be
toxic and should be used only under supervision. The Arnica tea can be
harmful to heart patients. The Calendula grows up to 40 cm in height.
The flowers are yellow to orange and the leaves have a sticky feel to
them. It is a good rain doctor also. If the flowers are closed in the
early morning, it will rain that day. When picking the flowers, you
should only pick in the bright sunshine and in the middle of the day.
The best month to pick the marigold is in August.
The
marigold can be juiced from fresh flowers and leaves or made into a tea
using the dried flowers. The easiest way to use marigold is in a tea.
In this case, you would dry only the flowers and use the flowers to
make the tea.
Making Tea:
To make tea or infuse the flowers, make sure that you boil the water
and then add 1 tablespoon of the flowers to the pot of tea and let it
steep. Do not add the dried flowers to cold water and then let it boil.
The tea purifies the blood, so drink this tea regularly. Remedies for
the use of the marigold tea:
- Inflammation of the intestines - Diarrhea - Liver problems - Expel worms - Herpes and glandular swellings - Hepatitis
Mixture of the tea and horsetail (use half and half)
- Cancer and tumor growths - Cracked feet and ulcerated legs - Non healing wounds
Sitz Bath:
What
is a sitz bath? A sitz bath is a bath you sit in. Sitz baths are being
used for many things from healing the wounds of stitches after
childbirth to hemorrhoids, vaginal infections,
genital herpes, and bladder infections. So the use of the sitz bath is
an "old fashioned" way of treatment, but a very effective one. Place
one or two cups of dried or fresh flowers in some cold water for one
day. After one day, heat the flowers to just before boiling and add to
the warm bath that is up to your hip. Relax in the soothing sitz bath
as long as you can. The aroma alone will soothe your spirits.
Fresh juice:
In
order to juice the marigold, you may use both the flowers and the
stems. Wash both of them and juice them. It is a strong juice and you
can add this to some carrot and apple juice to ease the flavor.
Remedies that you can use for the juice:
- Warts (note: use the fresh juice with no mixture here on the warts) - Scabies
Ointments:
Chop some fresh flowers and add it to some coconut oil.
Heat slightly and then let cool. The ointments are good for pains. To
make the ointment easy to spread, you can add some vegetable oil to the
ointment. Some will recommend lard instead of coconut oil. Remedies
using the ointment:
- Athlete`s feet - Nose scabs - Varicose veins - Eczema and skin infections
Tinctures:
When making tinctures, you can either use alcohol or raw apple vinegar. Dr. Schultz and Dr. Christopher both used the alcohol,
such as Vodka. But many for religious purposes prefer something without
alcohol, so they use raw apple vinegar. Raw apple vinegar must be
cloudy. Real apple vinegar will never be clear. Place some flowers in
the vinegar or the alcohol and let it sit in the sun for 20 days. After
twenty days, drain the vinegar from the flowers and you have your
tinctures. Remedies that the tinctures are used for:
- Regulating menstrual periods - Treatment of anemic patients
Cold
Infusion is used for the eyes. A cold infusion is basically the tea
which is let to cool and placed in the refrigerator. Use a cotton pad
and dip the pad in the infusion and lay on the eye, changing the pads
regularly. The leaves can be used in salads or as fresh vegetables and
eaten to heal tuberculosis.
The marigold is a benefit and a
treatment for so many illness and diseases, and should be used daily.
Many local herbalists carry dried marigolds and they are easily
accessible. Always be careful from whom you purchase your dried herbs and go with a reputable supplier.
