This week, the two most celebrated and successful players in Jeopardy history matched wits in a three-day competition against Watson, an IBM supercomputer, and, as many predicted, the artificial intelligence program won by a landslide.

 

Watson, named after IBM founder Thomas J. Watson, took over four years to make and is a significant step toward more sophisticated artificial intelligence

space station

Plans to develop an inflatable space station may soon be given the green light. A deputy administrator from NASA recently visited the Bigelow Aerospace facility in Las Vegas to discuss future additions to the International Space Station.

 

NASA has endorsed the concept of inflatable habitats and Bigelow has already built, tested, and launched prototypes.
