7 Unbreakable Rules for contractors to recruit, train and sell with broadcast-quality video.
The most powerful, convincing and  affordable 5 to 8 minutes you can spend with prospects and future hires.
February 2009

Thank you!

Thanks to those of you who recommended your favorite charity to win a $10,000 video production from CustomCorporateVideos.com. We'll announce the winner in mid-February.

While the economy has justifiably slowed spending on many fronts, pressure for those in the highway industry who hire, train and sell is also becoming more intense.

With CustomCorporateVideos.com, you can address that pressure effectively, handsomely and affordably with a full-length (5-8 minutes) video produced for under $10,0000 delivered. (Shorter and longer lengths at similar value-priced savings.) I invite you to get in touch to see how.

7 Unbreakable Rules for recruiting, training and selling with  broadcast-quality video.

No other marketing vehicle is more powerful than video for conveying the emotional benefit of your product or service, or for conveying the value of working in your company. Here's how to get the most bang for your buck.

1. Sell first, educate later.
No one was ever bored into buying something or working somewhere. Save the long explanations for the brochure or website.

2. Focus on the emotional content of your pitch.
Video has the power to make audiences laugh, cry and buy. Like it or not, we all buy with our heart, not our head.

3. Write to the picture onscreen, not to your sales plan.
Ever wonder why TV news covers so many fires but budget debacles only rarely? It's because the first is visual-rich and the latter isn't. Think about the visuals first and your script will almost write itself.

4. Encourage two-way communication.
Keep in mind that a video at its most basic is just a substitute for you being there. Include an offer with your contact information wherever possible.

5. Spend wisely.
Enlist your production company into maximizing the value of your own photographs, previously shot footage and other visuals that can minimize shooting time - it's the most expensive element in your entire production.

6. Invest more in planning, spend less overall.
Never proceed without a script or outline of what you're trying to accomplish. And be sure to get approvals at every level before proceeding to the next step.

7. Choose a video partner that knows your industry.
Tensions can run high when lots of people are involved and that "so much" is at stake. When the video partner you choose knows your industry, many problems can disappear because the experience they bring to the table can mean that many problems never come up.

There are plenty of other "to-do's" in making successful videos that we'd be happy to share with you. Get in touch when you're ready to do more.
How can we possibly create full-length videos this good for under $10,000?
Question On His Mind
It's all in the planning - and recognizing that we're not producing "art" for you. We're creating a video sales, branding or training tool, artfully. Your full-length 5- to 8-minute corporate video includes one day's video shoot on betacam (with an option to shoot on HD) utilizing one camera/sound operator plus one producer, about 12 hours of editing time, professional voiceover, music, royalty-free stills and moving images in addition to virtually any of the images, graphs and charts that you own. You get a complete, produced video delivered on DVD, ready for playing, broadcast or conversion to web use and uploading from any standard player.
