Invitation to Write for PPS Impact Magazine

Greetings!
I was speaking with a former associate of ours, Gerilyn Gault, PT, about her new role on the editorial board of the APTA Private Practice Section's Magazine, Impact. She mentioned that Impact is looking for contributing authors who have real private practice experience to write for the July Issue about Direct Access. What better place to look than Billing Dynamix's client base? Also, if you are a member of the APTA PPS, you could potentially be selected for a feature in their new Member Spotlight debuting this year. Please
consider one or both of these opportunities. This is a great way to
bring advertising and visibility to your practice while sharing with your peers.

Invitation from Gerilyn Gault, PT - Co-Owner of G&E Therapies and Member of PPS Impact Magazine's Editorial Board
The APTA Private Practice Section's magazine, Impact, is looking for authors to discuss Direct Access. As a Physical Therapist in Upstate NY with my own private practice and as a former associate of Billing Dynamix, I have recently been appointed to the Editorial Board of the Private Practice Section's magazine Impact. I have been asked to be the Issue Editor for the July issue of Impact which will: - examine the value of Direct Access in market competition with both medical and non-medical providers.
- Explore, through example, implementation of direct access in a variety of practice-types under different levels of access based on state guidelines.
- Provide specific examples on overcoming objections with third-party payers and/or elements of the medical community
- Address Public Relations strategies for educating the community and the consumer.
Consider the opportunity to write a brief article for this issue of the magazine (600-800 words). The article can be on your experiences with direct access and how it is affecting your practice, patients and reimbursement. If you are interested, please email me at GGault@GandETherapies.com. I will be happy to send you the Article Guidelines for more specific information. The deadline for article submission is April 1, 2010. Also...new for 2010 is a Member Spotlight. This features a PPS member to highlight PPS's diversity, to learn from each other and to bring awareness to our experiences and practices. It is a simple questionnaire and takes about 20 minutes to complete. You can submit a candid picture of yourself for the Spotlight with your questions and answers to be featured in the July issue!
