VALLE DE LOS ANGELES, GUATEMALA  - Friar Michael Della Penna is preparing to move to Guatemala to take up missionary work there later this month.

Friar Michael spent some time this summer visiting with Friar Rocco Famiglietti, guardian at the school and orphanage at Valle de los Angeles, and he found the visit beneficial and it fueled a mssionary flame into a burning fire.

"In postulancy, we talked about ministering to the poor in some poor country," Friar Michael said. "I got back from my dream Aug 7th. I visited Fr Rocco in Guatemala at the Valley of the Angels. I am going to be teaching them English so as to give them a door to something better."

Valle de los Angeles is a school and orphanage that currently is home to 270 children on 25 acres of land.

Friar Michael said, "The kids are absolute treasures and Fr Rocco is very inspiring. I am pretty excited."
