GRID ALTERNATIVES INSTALLATION

DC Power Systems & Solar Depot recently volunteered with GRID Alternatives on a solar installation for a low-income house in Santa Rosa, CA.
Working alongside GRID Alternatives, Yingli Solar (who made a significant donation to GRID earlier this year) and the homeowner, the 2.1kW system project was completed in 2 days.
The home is part of the Burbank Housing Development Corporation development, and homeowners contribute to building their homes through sweat equity.
Installation Specifics - 10 Yingli PANDA modules and Enphase M215 inverters
- 126,000 lifetime kW production
- $21,000 value of lifetime energy generated
- 85 tons of GHG emissions prevented
GRID Alternatives is rapidly expanding to bring solar power to more low-income families throughout California. They recently completed their 1000th solar installation, and are on track to reach their goal of 600 systems in 2011 alone.
