A Raise!

| Sam walks into his boss's office. "Sir, I'll be straight with you, I know the economy isn't great, but I have over three companies after me, and I would like to respectfully ask for a raise."
After a few minutes of haggling the boss finally agrees to a 5% raise, and Sam happily gets up to leave.

Tips & Tricks
 Points, Lines, Layers, Symbols, Codes?!?!?!?! We want to have "Field-to-Finish" but don't know where to begin or what it all means. Where do we start?
 Ah, the question and the struggle I have seen for a long time, even going back to when I was working in GIS and in Surveying. For years I have trained companies across the country on how to best use field to finish to help stream line their process and best utilize their staff (in the field and in the office). What is great is that it doe snot matter which program you are using in the office or which hardware/software you use in the field, the basic principles are the same. There are new advances in the Leica System Viva! that enhance field coding beyond what it has been in the past and office software has changed as well, but the basics still remain. To prove it I have drug up an old document I wrote a few years back that explains the process of field collection as well as tips for setting up Carlson Survey. UK Police Forces Embrace 3D Laser Scanning- (Milton Keynes, UK 5th January 2012) - Leica Geosystems is pleased to announce the largest ever order of Leica ScanStation C10's as UK Police Forces embrace High Definition SurveyingTM (HDS). The scanners will be supplied as part of a £2.7 million investment from the Department of Transport to reduce motorway closures following a collision. Delivery of the instruments, full onsite training and support will commence later this month in readiness to help ease the potential traffic congestion caused by major collisions, especially in light of the forthcoming 2012 Olympics.Read more here.
