Clock

A wife stormed up to her husband and exclaimed "Your stupid clock almost killed my mother!!  It fell from the wall into her chair just seconds after she got up."

The husband shaking his head said, "That darned clock has always been slow."
Tools of the Trade December 2011
Greetings!

As I sit and type this newsletter, I find myself distracted by the sounds of Christmas music, lights glowing on the tree, and cards from friends and family lining the counter.  I also find my thoughts drifting to memories of the year (some good and some bad) and the excitement of the coming year.

There have been so many changes in my life this past year, but I am thankful to be doing what I do and having the opportunity to continue to work with people like you in the coming year.  To say I have been blessed with the gifts I have been given over the years is an understatement.

As the year winds down, remember to take advantage of all of the things going on right now that will give you a chance to save money or move up from older equipment.  For example I put a little information up on the CDS website detailing the Section 179 tax credits which you can also talk to your tax professional about for more details.

Between the trade-up offers on the Leica Laser Scanning products, and Leica Machine Control, and the the Trade-in Allowance of $ 7,600.00 on a New Viva GNSS RTK Rover System there is no better time to buy than now.  These offers are valid through December 31, 2011. Contact our office (817) 691-5328 for more details on any of these programs and let us see what we can do for you.

I am working on software classes and seminars for next year including Carlson SurvCE, Leica Viva!, Leica Cyclone, and a few others.  If you have something specific you would like to see please send me an email and let me know!  There is nothing I like less than scheduling classes and seminars that nobody wants or needs!

As I say every month, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.  I am living in the Dallas area now so if you are in the Metroplex and want to visit with me either come by the office or lets set up a meeting at yours.  I really want to talk with you and know how things are going, and learn what struggles you are having and see if we can find a way to help you do what you do even better through training, consulting, new products or new software.

If I do not see you in the next few weeks I want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas,  a Happy and Prosperous New Year, and a wonderful Holiday Season.

Sincerely,
Paul M. Carlson

Tips & Tricks

question We scanned data using the Leica C-10 scanner and are ready to bring the data into Cyclone to begin working with it.  What do we need to do?

answer stamp Sometimes getting started is the hardest part!  I put together a video recently that shows how to import C10 data into Cyclone and a few basic steps for viewing the data using Cyclone.  To get an introduction on these steps, click here to watch the video I put together that should help get you started.
