Grass Houses

There once was a king who lived in two-story grass hut. Every holiday the king demanded to be given a new throne as a gift. As soon as a new throne arrived, he would store the old throne on the second level of his hut and use the new one instead. But one day the hut collapsed from the weight of all the thrones, and everyone was crushed and killed.

The moral of this story? Those who live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones.

Tools of the Trade January 2011

Greetings!

Can you believe this is the first newsletter of 2011?  So far so good even though we are just a few weeks in.

As we all seem to do on January first, I have a list of things to work on this year.  What about you?  Are you quitting smoking, losing weight, spending more time with the family?  I hope that whatever your resolution(s) is/are you stick with them and get all of the encouragement you need to do it from the people around you.

One of my biggest goals for 2011 is to make CDS a better company with an even stronger focus on our client's needs.  We have good days and bad days sometimes, and I want more good days.  I want to make sure we are doing everything we can to take the best possible care of you and make sure 2011 is a great year for you and your business.

We will do this partially by keeping you informed of things such as the retirement of Autodesk products (this year is the end of AutoCAD 2008), the release of new products from Carlson Software (Carlson Point Clouds for example), and continue providing training and support on everything we sell (Leica C10 scanners with our partner Geomatic Resources for example).

My goal is to make sure we are doing all we can, even if that means we have to make changes and learn new things.

So, you know what we are going to do to help make 2011 a great year, what are YOU going to do to make it a great year?

I wish you all the best, and as always if there is anything we can do I am always an email or a phone call away.

Sincerely,
Paul M. Carlson
CDS - President

answer stamp There are many options for digital vehicle turn templates on-line.  Some programs have even incorporated these templates.  Take a look at the video I created on a tool Carlson has given me for this type of analysis.  Click here to watch the video.
