The End is Near!

A priest and a pastor from the local church are standing by
the side of
the road, pounding a sign into the ground, that reads: "The End Is Near!
Turn Yourself Around Now -- Before It's Too Late!"
As a car sped past them, the driver yelled, "Leave us alone, you religious
nuts!" From the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash.
The pastor turns to the priest and asks, "Do you think the sign should
just say 'Bridge Out'?"

Greetings!
A fresh new look for the newsletter. What do you think?
Just like you, at CDS we are always looking for new and exciting ways to better
serve our clients. Sometimes little things such as finding new ways of
presenting our newsletter to you can prove to be the change that was
needed.
As we look for new ways to do business we strive to
ensure that we are not moving from our core philosophies and beliefs
and that everything we do is beneficial to you. We
have started a regular web based training course and after the first
session ran into some hiccups but will re-launch that series in the
coming weeks as we get all of the kinks worked out. We have also really put our focus back on providing training and consulting services to our clients.
I
feel we can bring more value to our clients by sharing our knowledge
and expertise with you than by almost any other product we can offer. Especially
in these trying times it is important for our business as well as yours
to find new ways to do business that are more efficient and profitable,
and that is what we offer you.
We know how to gather data, process it, and turn it into something usable. So
as competition increases, and profits begin to shrink, let us work with
you to find new ways to get your jobs done that will make you more
competitive in today's economy.

Tips & Tricks
 We use a TDS/Trimble Data Collector in the field, and Carlson Survey in the office for processing and other survey functions. We have the need to locate circular structures/objects and are currently locating points, manually drafting arcs, finding centers and redrawing circles. Is there a better way?
 Absolutely! Carlson Survey gives you three options for circles. You can locate the center point and define a radius, you can locate the center point and the radius point, or you can locate three perimeter points. Follow this video link for more details on how it is done.
