Out with the old and in with the new!
AutoDESK announces the end of an era. If you own a current seat of AutoDESK LDD, you own the last version of that program. AutoDESK Land Desktop 2009 will be the final release of Land Desktop and subscriptions will end July 08, 2008.
AutoDESK announces the genesis of a new product. To meet the needs of Draftsmen and Technicians who do not need all that Civil 3D has to offer, AutoDESK announces the release of AutoDESk Civil (M.S.P. $5995). AutoDESK Civil is a bridge to the more robust AutoDESK Civil 3D program (M.S.P. $7495).

"We are working on a large project that will span several miles as well as several months. Because of the size and scope of this project we will need to have multiple people involved in the project at various points. We need to be able to share data between multiple users and offices but are afraid that the Carlson .CRD file (which is the crux of the project) will not permit us to do this. The question is, can multiple CAD techs work on different drawing sections of the project utilizing the same CRD file instead of having to create multiple CRD files for each drawing?"
This is a good question and is a little more complex then just the answer of the CRD file. Projects are getting larger and more complex and span broader areas, longer time lines and have higher numbers of people involved.
