Hello Everyone!

DeniseThis month I am very excited that other websites are now sharing my newsletter. www.sweettonemusic-movies.com/home.html   Also this summer, the song Perfectly You and its message have been invited to travel to Florida, Washington DC, Georgia, and Nebraska.  These are great birthday gifts for me as I now approach the big 40 this month! I met so many of you when I just started my counseling career and we have remained in contact through many challenges and triumphs.  I am so grateful to all of you and those who have come along the way. In particular, I would like to pay a special tribute to my dear friend Stephen Frankle who recently passed on.  I met Stephen my first week counseling at San Diego Hospice, 7 some years ago.  He lived with chronic pain of the worse kind.  Never did he miss an appointment, and rarely did he complain.  Over the years I watched Stephen grieve, grow, forgive, and find a new beautiful love and life he never imagined possible.  He will be deeply missed and will always be a reminder of the strength of the human spirit and its ability to overcome the worse imaginable circumstances.  Thank you Stephen for all the gifts you gave to everyone who knew you.  I hope you'll now take some time to ponder the thoughts below, and check out some of the new quick links.
Saying Goodbye

We all say goodbye many times throughout our lives.  Goodbye to a best friend that moves away, or one that passes away.  Goodbye to our youths and unfulfilled dreams hopes and desires.  Goodbye to nasty habits that once brought us great satisfaction!  But the one truth that always remains, is the love given and received, the lessons learned, and the character built during the course of our farewells. If that is what we choose to focus on.

It is a human pitfall that we tend to naturally focus on the pain of our losses, rather than the gifts given.  The love between a husband and wife once shared, who are now divorced, lives on and penetrates out constantly recycling itself and consistently shaping us as people if we choose to allow it.  In the end, only love remains, all else is an illusion.  We are all human, we all make mistakes, it is through forgiveness of ourselves and others, that the flame of love given and received lives on. I recently attended a church service in which the pastor talked about goodbyes.  He said we all have either just said goodbye, are saying goodbye, or about to say goodbye to something, someone, significant.  It is all a part of life.

So my challenge for you this month is to shift your awareness, if you have not already done so, to focus on the beauty rather than the pain.  Forgiveness rather than grudges.  Life is constantly evolving, and it evolves through the energy of love, given and received in our lives and the lives of others.  We can not evolve as humans, and therefore a planet, if we are blocking that circulation of love in our own lives.

This is my wish for all of you, in becoming "Perfectly You."  FORGIVE!
