SANDY SPRINGS RECOGNIZED FOR  E-BLAST
All-Star AwardThe City of Sandy Springs received the 2009 All-Star Award from Constant Contact®, Inc. The City was selected for meeting Constant Contact's best-practice standards for the use of E-mail Marketing throughout 2009.

"Not everyone can make it to our Web site every day, so we've found that the best way to reach out to our residents with the most important City news is through our monthly E-blast. With more than 5,000 subscribers, the City's electronic newsletter reaches the inboxes of our residents at home, work and on their mobile devices," said the City's Electronic Communications Coordinator, Nathan Crenshaw. "Combined with the City's social networking efforts, the monthly E-blast is a great example of how the City of Sandy Springs is helping lead the charge for municipal governments becoming more innovative with technology and communication."

Thanks to all our readers for making the E-Blast a success!

They join residents and businesses in 30342, 30350 and 30328 as being officially designated Zip codes for the City of Sandy Springs.

CITY STARTS CAPITAL PAVING PROGRAM
The City of Sandy Springs will begin this year's Capital Paving Program on May 3, 2010. The program will pave 2.44 miles of roadway, bringing the total to 81 miles including the Local Assistance Roads Program or LARP paving. The Capital Paving Program is strictly funded through the budgeting process using City funds. This is the fourth year of the Capital Paving Program.

This year's scheduled roads to be paved are:
  • Spalding Stables Estates
  • Ison Road
  • Hammond Drive from Mt. Vernon Highway to Sandy Springs Circle
  • Powers Ferry Road
  • Long Island Way
  • Northland Drive from Windsor Parkway to Georgia 400
  • Windsor Parkway from Peachtree Dunwoody to City Limits
Ison Road, Long Island Way and the Spalding Stables roads were chosen based on bringing these streets up to City standards because they were incomplete from utility or development projects. The remaining roads listed were chosen based on ratings done by an IMS study conducted every three years.
