Rounsaville Awarded Realtor Emeritus
First DAR Member To Receive Award
| When Gene Rounsaville Joined the Eastern Contra Costa Board of
Realtors (as the Delta Association was then known) in 1970, there were fewer than
200 members.
Today there are over 900.
Our
records show that Gene is the first to have 40 continuous years as a
member of the association.
He served as Board President in
1975
NAR recognizes any member that has been a
member for 40 years by granting them "REALTOR EMERITUS" status.
In
addition to a beautiful certificate and a special Realtor lapel pin, a
Realtor Emeritus is no longer required to pay dues to NAR.
At
the May Board of Directors meeting , Gene was presented
with the certificate and pin.
Delta's bylaws also
allow for honorary membership, but the current rule requires that you
attain the age of 75 years. A bylaws amendment will be on our next
ballot to add the 40 year service as an additional option for honorary
membership.

Reception for East Contra Costa County Elected Officials At DAR
| | June 16, from 5 to 8pm, DAR will host a reception for members of our city councils, other city officials and our county supervisors. You are invited to attend and enjoy some casual time with the folks that we have elected to run our local government. This event was a big hit last year. There will be food and beverages.
