| Realtor's Involved in our Communities
|
Many of Delta's Realtor members give graciously of their time and money to help others. One such member is Mike Schneider of Blue Line Real Estate. He is promoting the 2nd annual Law Enforcement Memorial Event and Ride to be held on September 19, 2009. The Poker run begins at the Walnut Creek Elks and ends at Buchanan Park in Pittsburg, a distance of 96 miles. They had 350 riders last year. They raised $8,000 that was divided between the 100 Club of Contra Costa and the Contra Costa Peace Officer's Alliance. Jeff Shelton from Auburn won the poker run $250.00. A Harley was was raffled and the winner traded the bike up to a Screaming Eagle Road Glide - approx $40k worth of bike. See the flyer for more details.
Also, on the same day September 19, 2009 12-4 p.m. Michael Temby and Rick & Jennifer Fuller of Keller Williams present Extreme Water & Air Show to benefit the Royal Family Kids' Camps.
The Royal Family Kids' Camp of Concord is a free summer camp for our community children at risk who have been abused, abandoned and neglected and are currently in Contra Costa County's Foster Care Program. We have found that many of these children are not able to attend "regular" summer camps because of their unique requirements. Royal Family Kids' Camp is designed to build positive memories in the lives of these hurting children. The event takes place at Orwood Resort, 4451 Orwood Road, Brentwood. Live entertainment begins at 4:00 p.m. with a special presentation by "The Crocodiles Band". For more information go to www.BrentwoodSkiShow.com
