What Makes A Successful Website?
Allen HaingeA deep, consumer-oriented Web site must be your #1 marketing tool today.  Why?  Because 84% of today's consumers go first to the Web to look for properties to buy or agents to sell their home.  Yet only about 10% of today's agents have a site that makes them money!
 
We spend an entire module on effective Web sites during the CRS 206 class, but for now remember the 5 top characteristics of a money-making Web site:
  • Effective, uncluttered design and easy to navigate
  • Complete consumer information
  • Your listings are showcased effectively (virtual or video tours,area tours, "click for more information" link, in-depth property descriptions, map link for each listing, downloadable property documents, etc.)
  • At least 8 to 20 "contact me for more information" links throughout your site
  • Extensive area information: remember...people buy an area first, then a house?
Most agents fall short on all of these crucial elements.  Take a moment to look at your site from the standpoint of the consumer and see how it stands up.  Again, we will go in-depth during the CRS 206 course.... nothing to sell, just on-target, objective information complete with examples from some of the most profitable agent sites in real estate today.
