Greetings!

Welcome to the second issue of our newsletter.  I want to thank everyone who responded favorably to the first issue even though it had a couple URL's that were entered with typing mistakes.  I hope I was able to reach all of you who tried those links with the email listing the correct links.  If not I apologize, and to everyone I assure you we will double check to make sure everything works the way it should before hitting that transmit button in the future.

February is National Pet Dental Health Month and we include an article on your cat's oral health.  Gum disease if very prevalent and as you will see can lead to serious health problems if not controlled early.  Also in this issue we introduce our newest piece of cat furniture called The POD.

As always, we are open to suggestions and encourage you to email us with any ideas or comments about our products or the content of this newsletter.  Enjoy!

A Healthy Cat
When was the last time you brushed your cat's teeth?

Healthy TeethDid you know that more than 70 percent of cats develop gum disease before they are three years old?  This is according to the American Veterinary Dental Society who is publishing information about your pets oral health specifically during the month of February, which has been designated as National Pet Dental Health Month.

What a lot of people don't realize is that through a regular program of preventative oral care you can eliminate discomfort and/or serious health problems for your pet before they get started.  Its not difficult, you just need to be committed to performing a few simple tasks on a regular basis.

We've developed a Hubpage in case you would like to learn more about your pet's dental health.  Simply click on this link:

Tips for your cats' wellbeing

CodyYou know your doctor has told you never to put anything in your ear smaller than your elbow.  Well, the same holds true for your cat.  Some people like to use a cotton swab or similair item to clean a cat's ear canal.  If you do you may inadvertently damage your cat's hearing. If that should happen you will never know if your cat really can't hear you, or is choosing to ignore you.  You should only be carefully cleaning the outer areas of your cat's ears using a simple dab and wipe clean approach.  If you notice a dirt or wax buildup deep inside the ear canal, its time for a vet visit.  A dark brown waxy buildup may indicate an infection or the presence of ear mites.  Head shaking and scratching at the ears are outward signs of an internal problem and you should seek the treatment of a veterinarian.
