Endorsements continue to flow in for

John Leopold's record of community
involvement has earned him a bevy of recent endorsements. It is no surprise that to date, every group where John has gone head-to-head with opposing candidates he has won the endorsement. His
endorsements include the Monterey Bay Central Labor Council, the Cabrillo
College Federation of Teachers, the United Transportation Union, SEIU - Local
521, Operating Engineers - Local 3, as well as this past weekend's endorsement
by the Santa Cruz Democratic Women's Club (DWC).
During the DWC
endorsement meeting, John was the only candidate from any of the local and
state races to receive spontaneous rounds of applause in the course of his
introduction speech. And, the over 100 DWC voters endorsed John by a

John talks about Prop. 98
John has been using
every campaign stop to warn voters about Prop. 98 which is a serious
danger to our community. If passed, Prop. 98 would remove mobile home
rent control in Santa Cruz County. The initiative is also a threat to
nearly all of our environmental protections.
