Greetings!
Happy New Year from the Friends of John Leopold
Leopold reaches first goal!
Thanks to support from nearly 200 people, the John Leopold for Supervisor campaign raised over $15,000 before the end of the year!
This strong show of support is a clear indication of the start of a successful campaign for the 1st District Supervisorial seat. Neighbors, friends, and colleagues contributed to support John's effort to strengthen our economic foundation, provide services for those in need,
protect the quality of our neighborhoods and the conservation of our
coast and open spaces. This election comes at a critical time for the 1st district. In the coming years we will make important decisions that will affect the quality of life in our neighborhoods and the provision of services to our community. John is committed to working with the community to define our goals collaboratively, and he will work to insure that all voices from the community are heard.
If you haven't had a chance to support the campaign, we can use your help! Please consider making a contribution to the campaign over the web or send a check to the mail address below. You can also support the campaign by endorsing Johns' run for Supervisor. Show the community your support for a candidate who will strengthen our community.

Come meet John Leopold!
Suzanne Dowling and Bonnie Keet are holding a gathering for John on Janaury 27th. From their email:
Dear Friends, Happy New Year! I'm very excited to extend to you an invitation to meet John Leopold on Sunday, January 27th
(at 4:00pm), who is running for supervisor in our district (Soquel,
Live Oak, and Pleasure Point). John brings a new and fresh perspective
to local politics and I think you'll find him to be in touch with the
issues that greatly concern all of us at the local level. By attending, you will have the opportunity to meet John and to ask him questions about his candidacy and political goals. And we'll also serve refreshments! The event will take place in Soquel at Bonnie Keet's home (3130
North Main Street) on Sunday, January 27th (4:00pm). It's the fourth
house on the right after crossing Soquel Drive. You can park in the
Congregational church parking lot. I really hope to see you there. Bonnie's house can accommodate 40 guests, so you need to RSVP to me (email, phone, or in person) by January 25th. Thanks! Suzanne (477-9311 or suzanne_dowling@yahoo.com)
