An Exciting Discovery Happened Just This Week!

There's nothing that gives an adrenalin rush quite like the discovery we made this week. That's what makes us love what we do!
We bought this beautiful Art Glass piece about 6 months ago from an 'expert' in Paris who sold it for 'cheap' because as he said "Oh elle est jolie, mais pas signee" ( Not signed )
Determined to find some marking, Jason and I carefully examined the piece until we found it! A very feint, but highly legible signature suddenly popped up under a bright light!
Turns out this lovely piece was done by a famous Parisian Art Nouveau Glass Maker in Paris around 1920. The makers' name,
' Charles Schneider' is synonymous with all the greats like 'Daum' and 'Galle'.
The value suddenly shot up to 3.5 times from what we had originally had it marked!

Wow Factor!
In the latest issue of House and Home for Fall 2011, an antique washstand C. 1880 is referred to as a "Wow Factor" in the newly renovated bathroom of a " Style Savvy Couple" in downtown Toronto.

Camping and Glamour? Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
Apparently not....in fact it wasn't until we were in France and reading a recent Issue of the French ' Elle Decor' Magazine that we discovered our very own Clayoquot Sound mentioned as the destination "Glamour" for truly chic Parisians always on the hunt for the unusual.
Not only are these not your 'usual campsites', these are canvas villas chocked full of antiques, and amenities equal to any 4 star resort anywhere.
If you've never heard of it before check out the website of
P.S. If anyone's been there please let us know what you thought.
