First Impressions
I love the month of October for many reasons. One of my favorites is all the wonderful orange pumpkins! Each one is an amazing and unique work of art. Many start from the same seed packet and depending upon the nurturing and environment their potential becomes vastly different.
We as individuals also have many possibilities and the potential to become our own amazing and unique masterpiece!

I have heard it said before that "It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are". I think they were talking about how difficult it can be to follow our own authentic path. Others may not agree with our decisons and may even go out of their way to disuade us from even trying.
We are unique. We're told our uniqueness is our gift to the world. Therefore, why would we ever want to follow in someone else's footsteps?
Trust me, we will be tempted because there will be times it will seem much easier just to give in and follow the trail before us. I encourage you to hang in there and carve your own trail. Once you align with your purpose, watch your life change. Your future now belongs to you!
Joseph Campbell said, "If you see your path laid out in front of you-Step one, Step two, Step three-you only know one thing...it is not your path. Your path is created in the moment of action. If you can see it laid out in front of you, you can be sure it is someone else's path. That is why you see it so clearly."

Personal Inspiration
It is necessary for each of us to chart our own path regardless of our fear of the unknown. It is the only way we will discover our purpose and reach our greatest potential. Unless we try to do something beyond what we have already mastered, we will never grow.
How do we stop the worry questions in our head from stopping us? You know....What if I make poor choices? What if I am headed in the wrong direction? Or worse yet, what if I fail...?
It is important that we are kind and patient with ourselves when we are learning something new. The stories we tell ourselves become the life we live. If we believe we can't...we can't! Luckily, the same holds true that if we believe we can...we can! Always challenge yourself by asking why can't I do something...or what is stopping me from...? In a short time you will start to see possibilities instead of improbabilities!

Professional Inspiration
How do we help our teams discover the possibilities that will lead to their greatest potential? We inspire and empower them to think outside of the box?
Here is a wonderful exercise from "Simple Living" magazine titled "Recognize Your Possibilities" written by Gail Blanke. I changed it up just a bit. It will definitely help you start to think outside the box or should I say outside the circle!
First, draw a medium sized circle in the center of a piece of paper. Imagine inside of the circle all the possibilities for enriching your life: all your talents developed, your passion, your curiosities satisfied. Label it Possibilities!
Next think about all the things you have thought about trying but haven't - a new recipe, a Pilates class, or even just a new way to organize your paperwork? Inside the large circle, draw another circle to represent those. Label it Want to Try!
Now think of all that you have actually experienced so far in your life, all that you can do, all that you know you enjoy. In the center of the smallest circle, draw another to represent those experiences. Label it My Life Now! Your drawing should look like a bullseye. 
Okay, here's what we do, not because we're not smart, but because we're human. We stay inside that center circle. We live there. If someone says, hey why don't you take up..., we say oh no, I am really not the....type, never have been, never will be. Or "there's a man I would like you to meet, he's a....", and we say, "you know I have never had any luck with..... I think I will pass." Or a new career, "I could never do that!"
Look at the space outside of the circle titled Possibilities. That's where you want to be - out there seeking experiences you haven't even considered that could enrich your life! That's where the juice is! That's where fulfillment lies!
