Greetings!

How are you responding to the difficult economic issues we are facing? I pray we will all draw closer to the Lord and spend more time in prayer and Bible Study. We must not stop our witness by succumbing to our fears. Hard times provide ministry opportunities... one person at a time. The Lord will provide what we need. The results are up to Him. Even our prayers provide an opportunity to share our faith with our unbelieving friends!

Will You Visit My Mom? My Friend?
Praise God, I am beginning to get referrals of Jewish relatives and friends. Do you have a Jewish friend in Florida who needs to hear about the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus)? Please let me know. Bernie, 89,a Jewish man in Sarasota, was introduced by his friend Phyllis, who heard me at her Lutheran Church. Bernie says he will never change, but we did take a look at Isaiah 53 and some other Scriptures. He wants to meet with me once a month! The last time we met, Bernie told me he was a 'man of prayer'... asking God to take away his pain. So this time I asked Bernie, "are you still praying?" Bernie said, "yes, I want to be with my
wife after I die." His wife died three years ago. I told
Bernie "we don't know where she is, but do you want to know for sure where you are going?" And I asked, "Bernie, how do you know I am not an answer to your prayer... to study the Scriptures, His Word, with you?" Pray Bernie will receive the gift of eternal life soon! The other night, a woman in Kendall, FL asked if I would be willing to meet with her Jewish friend. Several of you have referred various relatives and friends. Please pray for open hearts as I meet with your friends and relatives!

Sharing Prayer Requests With Unbelievers?
I have a Jewish neighbor who knows all my biggest prayers... for the safety of my wife, in the Army in Afghanistan; and for my son, Josh, his wife Jenn, and their three little girls... they need a miracle in their marriage. When I told my neighbor how one prayer for my wife was answered, she said, "that is an interesting coincidence." I told her I believe it is not a coincidence. It is God's answer to my prayer (and yours... I told her about you). She said maybe you are right. When I told her that all I know how to do for my son right now is to pray, she asked, "does that help?" I told her absolutely! As God answers your prayers and mine, I pray she will begin to realize that our prayers to the God of the Bible are being answered, and that she needs to get to know him... not just so her prayers can be answered, but so she can receive eternal life!

Can Anything Good Come From Facebook?
A few weeks ago, I got a message from Facebook, "Are you the Alan that grew up in Riverdale?" It was a childhood Jewish friend Danny. Wow! I replied with something his mother used to say, "Danny, eat your banana!" He is a lawyer in Scarsdale with a beautiful family, but said his life is boring. I shared my life has been anything but boring! I told him how our mutual friend Mike came to faith in Jesus, and how 15 years later, I did as well. Danny wants to hear more! And the story grows! Last weekend, I had an opportunity to visit with Mike in Minneapolis. When I told him I heard from Danny, Mike said, "Danny, eat your banana!" And we reminisced about how we used to sing the Baruchas together... as they studied for their bar mitzvahs. We called ourselves Danny and the Rabbis: "baruch attah adonai, ooh, ooh! Eloheynu melech haolam, ooh ooh!" Please pray that as Mike and I share with Danny, he will receive the gift of faith in Jesus and eternal life!
