Greetings!
Training with Steve and Greg
Thank you for your prayers for my wife, Pam. We had a wonderful 2 weeks together with our family that went way too fast!

Each of us have hopes and fears about what will happen with a new President, very hard economic times and the continuing war on terrorism. These issues get me on my knees a lot.  In difficult times, many people seek a foundation to their life that is more stable than from human institutions.

Pray for strong faith no matter what we face. Pray God will use the stability He gives us so we can listen to and love our neighbors, pray for and with them, offer help and share how they may build their lives on the Rock, our Savior, Yeshua!

I would count it a privilege to pray for you.
Outreach in Miami
Training with Steve and Greg
Lisa and Vickie went out for the first time at Dolphins Stadium.  We gave out 1,600 tracts and had some good conversations. Pray for those who received the Gospel.

It was extra special for me because I am a Gator alum!  And because we had Tim Tebow's dad for an Outreach at our church, St. Paul in Boca Raton, earlier in the week.

Will you pray about joining us as we reach out? We will go out in Coconut Grove for the Art Festival the weekend of Feb. 14 (President's Day weekend).

Send me an e-mail if you would like to find out more about this outreach or other ways you can get involved.

On Our Way to Israel
Training with Steve and GregPlease pray for us as we are on our way to Israel.  Six Apple missionaries and volunteers will be on the streets of Tel Aviv for a week. We will also meet with some potential partner ministries and individuals about how we might start Apple - Israel.  We covet your prayers.

Please pray too for the Peace of Jerusalem.  As you know, the only hope for peace is faith in the Messiah, Yeshua.  The true anti-War teacher, Yeshua went much farther than just teaching "Love your enemy". But even this radical teaching recently attracted a Hamas leader. He came to faith because he wanted to find out more about who could teach that we should love our enemy.  He found that Yeshua gave His life for every combatant on both sides of every conflict... and freely offers the forgiveness of sin and eternal life He has already paid for!  It is not our work. He comes to sinners like you and me, Praise God!  And He comes to every person on earth, including those who have not yet heard.

Please pray for safe travel, for those we will reach during the Outreach, for candidates willing and able to serve with us in Israel, and for wisdom as we hope to leave with a ministry plan.  About 5,500,000 Jewish people live in Israel.  It is a beautiful country.  More importantly, it was Yeshua's home... as I like to share over there, Yeshua was an Israeli.
Pam is Back in Afghanistan
Training with Steve and Greg
As soon as Pam got back, a suicide bomber set off a blast that was close to where she works.  As you know, typically more Afghans are hurt than Americans.

When Pam was here during the holidays, she shared lots of pictures.  She is not an optimist by nature, but she believes we are making a difference.  The troops are helping the Afghan people and they realize it.  The Taliban have a different vision.  As in Israel, it is truly a spiritual battle.  But as Yeshua taught, He died for the Taliban as well!  It is hard to pray for our enemy.  Lord, give us your heart, and use us to reach all people, even enemies!

Pray for safety and wisdom for Pam and the other soldiers.  Pray that more soldiers will allow the Afghans to raise an effective Army and police force of their own. And pray many Afghans, including the Taliban, will come to know true peace through the Prince of Peace, Yeshua!
Please pray for our soldiers and their families.  In these very difficult economic times, please pray that God will enable you to recognize and love your neighbor, including sharing the Gospel with those you know who need to hear!  If you would like some help in sharing the Gospel with a Jewish friend, let me know.  Finally, we Praise God and thank you for your prayers and support!

Shalom!
