About the ECDC
The Early Childhood Data Collaborative (ECDC) supports state policymakers' development and use of coordinated state early care and education (ECE) data systems to improve the quality of ECE programs and the workforce, increase access to high-quality ECE programs, and ultimately improve child outcomes. The ECDC will provide tools and resources to encourage state policy change and provide a national forum to support the development and use of coordinated state ECE data systems. Child Trends recently became the central hub for the ECDC.
Partners include: The Center for the Study of Child Care Employment at UC Berkeley, Child Trends, the Council of Chief State School Officers, The Data Quality Campaign, the National Conference of State Legislatures, and the National Governors Association for Best Practices, and the Pew Home Visiting Campaign. The ECDC is supported through the generosity of the Birth to Five Policy Alliance, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and an anonymous donor.
