Soothing Nerves In Tough Economic Times! Music to Dispel Financial Worries and Political Doldrums!
|
 |
Don't you wish it was that easy? Pop in a CD and feel your worries dissipate! Actually, that's exactly how it works! Don't take my word for it ... read the many testimonials by those who have experienced my music: "Joy's wonderful music and radiating personality are both playing an important part in increasing peace and harmony in the world," "her entire presence brings joy and happiness," "Thank you so much for your beautiful HEALING MUSIC," "relaxing and calming," "songs that are so charming, so heartfelt, it's enough to make anyone nostalgic," "We are both sitting here with tears of joy in our eyes!"
These are a few of the many remarks I have been privileged to receive over the years. Indeed, music is precisely what soothes your heart in difficult times as well as times of joy and fulfillment. To this end, I devote everything I do. I am blessed to say that my CDs have brought joy to many, and in so doing have brought enormous pleasure to me.
And from now through December 31, 2009, I'm inviting you to take advantage of an extraordinary offer I am presenting as my holiday gift to you. During this season, I invite you to Pay What You Want for any of my personal CDs, and there is no limit. The retail price of my CDs is $14.98 each. From now through the end of the year, you may purchase and pay whatever you want for Seasons of Joy, Heart of Ancient Promise, How Good & How Pleasant, Favorite Melody 1 & 2, Passages, SoulStream, A Steadfast Bridge Pre-Prelease CD, and Holiday Circle of Love. I will autograph CDs by request. If mailing CDs to you, I request only that you include in your payment the approximate shipping costs (about $2 for one CD and $1 more for each additional CD). I will hand-deliver CDs locally if possible.
This extraordinary offer is available only via e-mail or phone, as it is not on my website. You are welcome to share the offer with anyone you know. Email me directly or call me with your order (727.785.4568), mention the newsletter special or Pay What You Want special, and you may make payment of any amount by paypal, or I will mail CDs to you and you may send back a check for the amount you desire.
To hear and view my CDs, visit my Online Store.
Why am I doing this? It is in return for what I feel is an extraordinary blessing to earn my livelihood through the joy of music. Additionally, I am creating several new CDs and am nearing a close of stock on Seasons of Joy, Heart of Ancient Promise, How Good and How Pleasant, and Passages. These CDs will be sold out soon and will be replaced by new titles. I'm pleased to see these last copies enjoyed by others. _______________________________________

Joy's Neat News & Recommended Reading
I
love to share discoveries I make on the internet as well as news of
friends and colleagues. If you have neat news you would like me to
share,
please email me to tell me about it!
The Jewish Women's Archive offers articles, podcasts, and interviews of the many and varied accomplishments of Jewish women and their contributions to Jewish historical experience. Their vision embraces the whole Jewish world and all of Jewish culture from the Hebrew Scriptures to the present. Visit the site to read and hear the excellent collection of material they feature.

About 20 years ago while visiting San Francisco, I picked up a couple of CDs at a music store near my hotel. Those CDs were for me the beginning of an appreciation for the remarkable composer/pianist Paul Sullivan, whose music I still deeply love. Paul has a magnificent website and newsletter, the most recent issue of which offers a free download of his recent composition "Cecile." Paul's music is a unique mix of classical, new age, ethnic, and folk stylings. He presents concerts worldwide and his newsletters keep readers abreast of his tours, recordings, and new compositions.
I recently discovered the unique and innovative ethnic dancer, Miriam
Peretz, Formerly a principle dancer with Inbal Ethnic Dance Theater in
Tel Aviv, now assistant artistic director and principle dancer
for Ballet Afsaneh in San Francisco. Miriam has developed a
new form of sacred Jewish dance while preserving traditional dances of
North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Her roots are Moroccan and her father is a Berber
Jew. Dancing from about age 13 in all styles from traditional to modern, she
eventually fell in love with the ethnic dance of her own heritage. Her
artistry and costumes are a delight to the eye and ear. See her
work via her web site, from which you can view a number of wonderful videos of her performances.
Ben-Gurion Airport was the scene of an emotional arrival in November of a group of Chinese Jewish descendants from Kaifeng who arrived to make aliya,
marking the first occasion of an organized group of Kaifeng Jewish
descendants moving to Israel. The exciting moment was featured in the
Jerusalem Post here, and a video report here. These and numerous other new links of China & India Jewry have been added to my extensive online collection of Jewish Asia Resources.
If you're interested in keeping in touch with Sephardic activities worldwide or are involved in Sephardic studies or organizations, you would enjoy subscribing to the Sefarad E-newsletter. The rarely-seen prints, drawings, & illustrated books explore the enduring legacy of Poe's dark fiction, along with film screenings, performances, and writing and poetry workshops, continuing through December 30th. The remarkable Florida Holocaust Museum is one of the world's foremost institutions of Human Rights awareness. The museum hosts tours and educates tens of thousands of students and adults annually, in addition to its commitment to The Paris Project, which shows children how to stand-up when they observe bullying or socially disruptive behaviors. Mark your calendar for February 11th, 2010, FHM's annual benefit, To Life: Shining Light on a Better World, presenting Lisa Ling, renowned human rights activist and journalist.
