 Sherri Hope Culver NAMLE President
Friends,
Happy new year. In a few months the World Summit on Media for Children and Youth will take place in Karlstad, Sweden from June 14-18, 2010. This conference, which only takes place every three years, is guided by two questions that connect strongly for media literacy educators; 1) What are children doing with media? and 2) What are media doing with children? As one of the sponsors of the conference, NAMLE will be there, encouraging discussions about media literacy and seeking information to share with our members. If you're looking for an inspiring and far-reaching vacation, why not consider joining us? As their website states, "Whether you are a teacher, researcher, representative from research or policy-making, or simply interested in the well-being of children and youth, there will be something for you in the programme!"
