Dear Visionary Leader,

Is it possible to double the size of the global church in our generation? Absolutely! It is more than reasonable to ask every Christian to win/disciple at least one over the next season of years. As the late Pastor Wendell Smith used to say, "It is the vision for our generation."

Last week we received a phenomenal update from Dr. Alex Mitala, Chairman of the New Birth Fellowship in Uganda and CoChair/Global Mobilization. He shared the following testimony from Jimmy Mwanga, Founding Pastor of Iganga Rescue Glory Church:

Calvary greetings! I am very grateful to let you know about the church the Lord used me to start in Iganga. As I left the Billion Soul Summit last August, I used the knowledge I acquired from that summit. I shared what I had learned with Salongo Daniel Byamukama and he gave me the go a head to start a church. I sent the photos of our members and proposed structure of where we fellowship in an open place. In order to overcome the challenge of rain and sun, we use 50 sheets of medal as a roof. We now have more than 80 members as we assemble on Sunday! We are believing for the double of the size of the Church in Uganda!

Of course it is more than possible to double the size of the Global Church in our generation. In fact, it is a must to do so! Will you take the visionary challenge of doubling your ministry? Plant one church? Every parishioner win/disciple one person?

The Gospel tide is rising in Indonesia! As I have traveled, I have heard countless pastors and leaders say, "The best is yet come! The Lord is building his church worldwide. When we are limited to our view of ministry or our limited knowledge of the Church in the world, we can wrongly conclude that there is not much happening or that the Church is losing ground on the global stage of influence. Yet, nothing could be further from the truth! Let me provide just one example.

Indonesia is the fourth largest nation in the work and has more followers of Islam than any other nation. Yet, Indonesia is more than 20% Christian today! One of the greatest missional sending churches in the entire world is Bethany Church, Surabaya, Indonesia. Bethany Church seats 41,000 and has planted thousands of churches worldwide. As we continue into the future, Ronnie Floyd, Senior Pastor of Cross Church, Pinnacle Hills, Arkansas, is correct with, "It is not your seating capacity alone but your sending capacity that will make the difference."

I challenge you now to make plans to watch the Billion Soul Summit in Surabaya, Indonesia at Bethany Church, on July 24-26, 2012. There will be powerful presentations from Alex Tanuseputra, Elmer Towns, Len Sweet, James O. Davis, Paul Cole, Suliasi Kurulo and David Sobrepena.
