Big things are happening at NPower! We welcomed five new Board members, elected new officers, launched a new brand, built a new website, and I started as the new Executive Director.

With all the change, one thing remains constant: we continue to provide the same high-quality services to our clients.

We are excited to partner with Saint Patrick Catholic School on their new website.

Digital Ball 2009 planning is well underway. We are pleased to have SunGard as our Presenting Sponsor again, and we have already confirmed a great group of CIOs on our Host Committee.

To Lead Digital Ball 2009

NPower Charlotte Region is pleased to announce that Digital Ball 2009 presented by SunGard will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Recognized as the premier networking event for the technology community, the Digital Ball brings together CIOs and other local business and technology executives to support NPower and keep technology services affordable for nonprofits. Targeting approximately 600 attendees from 70+ companies, this year's Ball will continue to power the link between the business and nonprofit community.

SunGard will again serve as the event's presenting sponsor. "SunGard is delighted to once again be the 2009 Presenting Sponsor of the NPower Digital Ball. Our involvement is part of our corporate responsibility and commitment to the Charlotte community, a place where we work and live," said Bob Sanchez, Managing Partner of SunGard's Consulting Services office in Charlotte. "As such, we are pleased to continue to support NPower in their mission to bring technology to local nonprofit organizations in order to effect change for the common good."

Digital Ball 2009 sponsorships are now available.

New Website Streamlines Communication

Saint Patrick Catholic School knew they needed a new website, but they didn't have the time or resources to build it. By partnering with NPower Charlotte Region, Saint Patrick's redefined their online presence and streamlined communication with parents.

Challenge
Saint Patrick Catholic School's website was static, out-of-date, and difficult to navigate. Because multiple volunteers had built different pieces of the site, the jumble of layers made updating it a challenge. The staff and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) knew they needed a new site, but they did not have the time or resources needed to create the dynamic, interactive website they envisioned.

Saint Patrick Catholic School looked to several sources for help and decided NPower Charlotte Region was the right choice.  "Other companies could have built our website, but NPower's philosophy was the best match for us," said Blair Farris, PTO President. "NPower would be a partner, and we were excited about that."
