Learn Beyond. Join Nia Teacher Trainer France-Laude Gohard for a two day workshop in which you'll learn the newest Nia routine, "Beyond." France-Laude will facilitate this fun and educational process by breaking down each move step by step.
This workshop is open to all Nia Belt Graduates.
The focus of the routine Beyond, is balance. The intent is to help students gain an awareness of their body in space to ultimately achieve vertical alignment, using systemic movement in all directions. Beyond combines powerful martial art techniques such as kicks and strikes with stances, spins and clock steps to create an exhilarating movement experience that balances the body from top to bottom, side to side. Learn to use gravity to develop coordination and grace, and play with different patterns of motion and speeds.
The workshop is from 1:30 til 6:30 pm on Sat March 3rd and continues from 1:30 til 6:30 pm on Sun March 4th. The workshop will be held at Move Me Studio, 1320 4th Street in San Rafael.
