Meet "NEW" Power Tool Karen Johnson,
|
|
|
Karen has worked with underserved populations for
over 20 years. She has worked in various positions
from working as a case manager for pregnant
adolescents, to working with high risk students in
schools, to working with families and children who are
affected by FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder).
Her favorite populations to work with are wild things
kids and MI/CD adults. She is a Certified Psychiatric
Rehabilitation practitioner and she spends her
professional
time at Grandma's Place overseeing a housing
program for adults with disabilities where her team
support adults who are struggling with
independence who have dual diagnosis,
developmental disability and neuro-diversity issues.
In her spare time, Karen writes curriculum for use with
children and adults with FASD. Her hobbies are
cooking, biking, boxing/strike, and swimming.
Karen has a Master's Degree in Arts Psychology from
Metropolitan University in Minneapolis, MN
