Anna Crosslin, Institute President & CEO, has received the 2012 Global Ambassador Award of the St. Louis World Trade Center. She accepted the award along with Bob Fox, Chair and Founder of Casa de Salud, at Growing Global.

The World Trade Center's signature annual event was held on Friday, September 28 at the Ritz Carlton. This year, Growing Global drew 650 guests from St. Louis' City and County business and civic communities.

Crosslin and Fox shared the Global Ambassador Award for their leadership in helping to launch the St. Louis County/City Immigration and Innovation Task Force. The blue ribbon initiative, comprised of 18 business and civic leaders, is exploring the opportunities that immigrants offer to improve our region's economic competitiveness. Hundreds more are participating in meetings and forums to also share their views.

Hodiamont Neighborhood to Get Fresh Produce

Farmers Market

The Institute has been awarded $77,160 from the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) of the USDA to create the Hodiamont Farmers Market. In summer 2013, we will debut Hodiamont Farmers Market with at least 5 vendors - growing to 10 in the second year. The market will increase access by low income residents to healthy and ethnically-appropriate agricultural commodities and also provide a venue for nutrition education.
