CHELCO, Touchstone Energy and iMap Weather Radio have partnered to create an iPhone app that turns your phone into a weather radio.
This leading weather app available in the app store currently cost $9.99, but through CHELCO, the app is free until October 31, 2012. This app has earned a five-star rating. With the alert feature, the phone will wake up automatically, beep and speak to you. It will also send alerts for your current location and saved locations.

Because the right contractor remains the critical cog in this process-for determining the type and size of the unit needed, explaining your options, and proper installation-consider these tips before making a selection.

What are the contractor's licensing and qualifications? Is the contractor a member of state and national contractor associations....

 This great recipe comes courtesy of Kraft foods at kraftrecipes.com. This recipe will surely be a hit at your holiday party. Give this one a try, it looks as good as it tastes!
Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, divided in half
- 1-1/2 cups boiling water
- 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Gelatin, any red flavor
- Approx. 1 cup Ice cubes

1 12 oz. package prepared pound cake, cut into 10 slices -
1-1/3 cups blueberries, divided -
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP whipped topping, thawed
Directions:
- SLICE 1 cup strawberries; cut remaining strawberries in half.
- ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice cubes to cold water to measure 2 cups. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is melted. Refrigerate 5 min. or until slightly thickened. Meanwhile, cover bottom of 13x9-inch dish with cake slices. Add sliced strawberries and 1 cup blueberries to thickened gelatin; stir gently. Spoon over cake.
- REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Cover with COOL WHIP. Arrange strawberry halves on COOL WHIP for stripes of flag and remaining blueberries for stars.

CHELCO partners with USDA |
 Since December 2009, a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has purchased new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) equipment for numerous CHELCO members. In addition, the households received other weatherization services, such as roofing, caulking and insulation. The grant benefits low-income households within CHELCO's service territory of Walton, Okaloosa and Holmes counties. The Community Action Partnership Committee and the Tri-County Community Council select the qualifying households. CHELCO recently received a one-year extension on the grant and is seeking additional households as recipients. The partner agencies are now accepting applications.
