 CHELCO's No Peaking Program
When the call comes...Turn it Off!

No Peaking Logo Participating in CHELCO's No Peaking program allows members to help themselves, their neighbors and CHELCO by lowering peak energy demand. When CHELCO avoids high peak charges, members benefit through lower wholesale power costs in the future.

Members are asked to curtail usage of specific electrical devices or appliance during critical peak times of the day, a few days each year. All members will be notified by phone before the peak time occurs so they have adequate time to react.

When members receive the call, they can help by shutting off various appliances for approximately a two- hour period. Please click the link below for specific action steps you can take when the call comes.

Please check your next bill envelope for more details regarding this program or call CHELCO's Member Service Department.
