| New National BNF President |
Congratulations to Margaret ( Maggi) Payne, the new President of National BNF. She is a retired educator from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Maggi has been married for over 40 years to Jimmy Payne who is also a BNF nurse. They have two sons (the older son is also a nurse). Maggi says, "With our profession in common, God has given us many opportunities to serve together in missions." They are members of Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and associate members of Baring Baptist Church in Baring, Maine, near their summer home. Maggie shared this thought at the National BNF meeting,"As Christian nurses, we have the opportunity to share Christ with those around us. Although many in the world are not open to the gospel, Christ's love is a lifeline to a suffering person who accepts the love of God and the hope of an eternal home in heaven.Tell a nurse friend what BNF means to you. Invite him or her to become a member of BNF." |
