| Thirteenth Parish Nurse class graduates sixteen...
Alabama WMU, the Ida Moffit School of Nursing, and the Baptist Health System partners to provide an annual training for Parish Nurses. In addition to earning nursing CEU's, graduates are equipped to begin and lead a health and wellness ministry in their church.
The Parish Nurse class equips nurses for ministry but also is a time of spiritual refreshing and retreat for participants. You are trained to see a holistic approach to health and wellness in body, mind, and spirit for yourself as well as your congregation. The class is held on two weekends in February and March, at Shocco Springs Conference Center in Talladega, Alabama. Both sessions are necessary to complete the training and class sizes are limited to twenty-five participants. The cost for the class, workbook materials, meals, and accommodations is $550.
